Your method is not working but you have to change to another SATA configuration and then it will work, that was in my case

You Rock ! I was pulling my hair out. I had a machine that hadn't been turned on in a while. When I did, the BIOS was reset. I set the time and date and rebooted, then met with the windows shutting down error. I thought it was the MBR, but something kept telling me maybe more that just the time and date reset. @@andreEditzzz my old motherboard is AsRock and never fixed the problem had that error or after few slaps other problems. My advice is go to safe mode and back to normal after the error is something i always did.
If that dont work move your pc around or install more windows programs that should fix something and show other errors like a frozen screen beep then frozen screen or restart (worst case a shut down after 1 to 10 hours)
