I love that the judges didn't get up and leave or try and stop them because it shows that even though the competition is over, it gives them the chance to see the kids dance in their element.
It's actually easy to do. I've been a dancer of many disciplines since the early 70s. Learned Ballroom, Latin and swing in the 90s. Appeared as a swing dancer on Doc with Billy Ray Cyrus. Was a Cannonball doll in the National Ballet of Canada production of The Nutcracker. And I djed for a dance class taught by the announcer in the competition in this movie. Opportunities always arise.
This was the best scene from the movie. Everytime this part comes on, I can't help but get up and try the dance moves they doing. This makes me wish I was at the party myself. you can tell they had a good time shooting this movie.
7am on the way home from a shift exhausted and I'm scrolling on yt...this comes up a movie I forgot about and use to love all of a sudden so much energy 🤣🤣🤸🏾♀️🔥
Wakil Hakimzaade im 16 and ive always loved this movie. dude are you mad just cause you think its disgusting and people rap all over the world not just american my dude so please before you talk get your facts straight acting like your better than everyone HA. different races of people rap Asians Native Americans Latinos Africans Indians Pakastanians Russian Germans and so on so dont act like you havent heard other races and people around the world. P.S. your just mad cause the little some people that dance to this are professionals and the some people that rap are professionals and get paid way more than you do. and when they die and their songs are still being played their still making more money than you ever will and their kids if they do have some will be set for life. whiles yours will have to work.
I love that movie so much because I'm big fan of dancing movies but it's nice to see that he tried to do that amazing thing for them he made them believe in themselves, also the last part where they all dancing and just enjoying the night
That said, the threesome dance is pretty neat. I have a polyamorous friend who was saying he's trying to figure out how to partner dance with a triad. Personally, I don't care for it, I'm still just trying to reach an advanced stage of couple dancing. But it's a fun concept. I don't even have one primary dance partner and never have. Most social dancers don't.
But it also brings back his initial speech to the parents' group: if you can walk, you can dance. To judge from their big smiles on the way out, they're dancing in their hearts.
Well, I love the formal partner dancing to club music. In blues dancing, we call it fusion. It's more popular among the younger dancers like myself. I love club dancing, and every time I go to the club I wish everyone was blues dancing. The premise of this movie is great, but I have so many objections. You can't pressure/coerce a young woman into accepting a dance and then tell her she's powerful because she accepts the dance. This is also really heteronormative (I'm a lesbian). Other issues...
Other issues? The story is kind of ridiculous... like they are going to compete with amazing dancers who've been dancing for years? I mean, okay, maybe a couple of them just so happen to be phenomenally talented dancers who can do that. Doubtful there happen to be more than two or three, unlikely there is more than one, EVEN one. I'm not sure who won? Why does it always have to be about winning in movies? Dance is a social activity, I'm a dancer, but I don't compete.
I love that the judges didn't get up and leave or try and stop them because it shows that even though the competition is over, it gives them the chance to see the kids dance in their element.

Not the old man saying, "What's that noise?" at like 13 seconds 😭
The way he says "walk" made it sound like a euphemism LOL
But it also brings back his initial speech to the parents' group: if you can walk, you can dance. To judge from their big smiles on the way out, they're dancing in their hearts.
