- In this CENTRAL DISPATCH BOOKING TUTORIAL, I am ROUTE SCOUTING for one of my viewers. Frank has a 9-10 CAR CARRIER and is based out of Miami, FL. He asked me to look for a profitable load to Virginia. And YES - I TOO PREFER THE "OLD LOOK" ON CENTRAL DISPATCH. The "New Look" has ToO mAnY FonTS and makes it too hard to quickly scan.
As a dispatcher and through the course of searching for loads, I quite often am reminded of essential pieces of advice that I have many times given to dispatchers in training. My Owner Operator runs 10 cars from WA-FL on a bi-weekly basis and the way we are able to coordinate all the pickup time frames is by using local drivers who pick up our cars over a 3-4 day period. They then have all 10 cars waiting to go at our Yard and we load up one time with our drop off locations in mind. We then do the same thing in Florida and although we lose money because we have to pay the local drivers, the headaches saved is absolutely worth it!

Only thing good about that load is that it's a straight load. 10 cars, 800+ miles, 2300. Only take that load when you're desperately trying to get out of an area.

Auto Transport Intel are there plenty of loads coming out of Jacksonville Florida ?
Historically, there are more loads delivering to port cities than picking up in port cities. So setting up a relationship to pick up at ports can benefit you greatly.

How long does it take to get hooked up with boards like cars arrive United road and ready logistics
Each one is different - which is why you need to contact them ASAP and get started on the sign up process. For example, Cars Arrive and United Road have different restrictions regarding insurance and authority while Ready Logistics at times has stopped (or delayed) taking on any new carriers whatsoever. [I'm not being specified here in the event their details change over time.] Please keep us updated of what you find.

Do you need a CDL to be able to haul for central dispatch for certain weight limits?
It's wise to be thinking about CDL requirements and loading weight limits before booking off the load boards. Not everyone does that and the DOT won't do you any favors if you break the rules. carsarrive wants their name on the cert of insurance?? what does that mean??
It means that CarsArrive is requesting a physical copy of your proof of insurance - with their company listed as a certificate holder. That way they can prove during a claim that you and your insurance company truthfully represented to them on the date listed the types and amounts of your actual insurance coverage. Brokers do this to avoid any questions after the fact. (It's basically the difference between a written contract and a verbal contract.) And if a broker asks to be listed as a Certificate Holder that's Additionally Insured, ask your insurance company the legal details of that definition. Otherwise, it's just a Certificate Holder as I described above. Pretty standard stuff - but very legally binding.

Are you asking if there is an App for Central Dispatch? I don't think there is. I believe the only way to access Central Dispatch is through a website on a web browser, but you might want to check with them. Thanks for the question.
