song that saved my life. just coming back in 2024 to thank you again. im now married with 3 kids and cannot believe how great my life has become because i believed.
Honestly, STYG are one of the few bands along with The Ghost Inside that can totally pull me out of the trenches. It's like there is this inner-pride and self-appreciation that immediately transpires whenever I listen to their lyrics and music that I just can't seem to find in my day to day motions. Love these guys!
+BT Studio Productions I agree one hundred to that. Id have to say Have Heart, Bane, and the likes of Expire or Backtrack do the same for me but it could just be that solid Hardcore brings me up. Oh as well as Cold World but they help with adding some goofing around to their sound...
its dangerous to have bands like them for opening up. I was totally devastated already when Architects played. This concert got all my energy for 2 days ... just awesome. I go again at 11/9 in Luxemburg. Totally hyped.
Its crazy, you play the guitar for long enough, no matter where you start, at some point you will end up finding yourself a tele. Almost unavoidable, these 2 lads are all over it...
"You have to believe there's a way out of this and you're going to find it" This song and a lengthy conversation with my girlfriend have changed me tonight. I will strive to no longer be weak and self-loathing "sick of all this giving up" sums It up nicely. This songs kickass, the whole albums friggen kickass and the world better be ready cos I'm about to kick ass. I believe.
Sometimes the comments I read on videos like these are unbelievable. I never get mad, upset, or even frustrated when I read other people's ridiculous responses. In truth, it's more of both amazement and disappointment. I'm dumbfounded at how some people find the gall to belittle others, or worse, they try to act like they know what the hell they're talking about while in the process of belittling others. To the people who feel like they found that rare sense of relation within the underground scene of heavy music (I hope that's general enough), good, stay true and bright. Stay excited about the music, get nerdy with it even. Stay close to the good friends you make in the scene, you might not find more people that like. Who enjoy weird music like you and the unusual ritual of punch dancing within a ring of people at a live show. I know that's the only outlet some of you may have. And to the dudes with the unusual high sense of entitlement to "hardcore", must I really ask? I don't have a bone to pick with you, but sometimes all I can seriously muster up to ask in my head is, really? Maybe the kid next door didn't invite you to his birthday party when you were in grade school so now you feel the need to make everything you're a part of exclusive? Maybe something a bit more traumatic? I don't know. Whatever it is, if that's you, why keep that cycle going? You're being that same dick who left you uninvited. You remember what it felt like. Even though it was small, you know how fast it can grow. You know better than most that when you can't find acceptance or even just something you enjoy that includes a small community it's a shitty feeling. Now imagine having to deal with people who keep trying to push that unique place further away from you, making it harder to be apart of. What're you doing? If someone (God forbid) misnames the genre of a band, will it hurt to shed some mercy or not give a damn? Because not only do you come across as a superior ass, but you're nipping people out of the multi-colored cloth that is the underground scene of heavy music (still general). For the people who don't give a shit period, only care about themselves, and will say and do whatever the hell they want while not considering how it will affect others, I feel like there's not much I can say to you quite honestly. I guess I can say good luck trying to get by living like that? Sincerely. You'll see everyone slowly stop wanting to hang out with you or not want to be around you. But what do you care? You just hate everyone and love yourself. At least you'll have your precious perception of "hardcore". And lastly, for you trolls, have fun with this comment. I know there's no stopping you.
I read your comment and I'm not a native english speaker, but what the hell are you talking about? No offense, but I rly didnt get the point of your comment.
If you genuinely don't get the point of the comment, then don't worry about it. You'll be just fine not knowing. The people who do know what I'm talking about will understand its purpose
I've been listening to these guys since forever. My Brother got diabetes this year. He listens to this band now. This means everything this year to him. This is a big deal to me. I couldn't ask for more in life.
I try to explain to my family the passion behind some of the hardcore songs. You couldnt express the passion any other way other than screaming. Way more emotion. Fully agree with you
Well for starters, STYG is playing in front a stage setting. ADTR was playing in a created room with all the old flyers for shows they've played through the years, featuring guest spots with bands they've played with and who support them. Then the song messages are completely different. Pretty much everything is different aside from both songs have a good hook lol
The day we start to make positive changes, living deliberately, using an open hand instead of a clenched fist, choosing acceptance over judgement and most of all belief in our ability to become more than just consuming hate filled organisms is another strong step in the right direction. Sensational band, with a heartfelt and motivating message. This life is my diamond.
***** You are one of those guys with not a single bit of a sense of humor. Take this advice from me: dont try to make jokes when you are this bad. Better just shut your mouth and fuck off kid.
