Thanks! Great video I found it very helpful and very well explained and demonstrated. I wonder if anyone has come across a similar issue I have faced when using an svg in either of the two methods demonstrated here. When I use an svg file in a webpage with a scale property using either of the two methods I get a flicker effect as the image scales up or down. Anyone any ideas how to fix this?
I'm having a bit of trouble following along with your tutorial. Wonder if you could give some help. I've cut the blend lines, and then in the transparency panel I've clicked make mask, but when I click the thumbnail for the mask and then select paste in front the selection box for the blend lines shows up but I cannot see the blend lines. I've turned off the clip option, and I've also tried changing the color of the blend lines. I am using Illustrator CS6 if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dude! When Looking through your videos, i found the Ai icon in this videos thumbnail very helpful as i was looking for photoshop tutorials. Its would be cool if all the thumbs had the icons and way easier to browse. Food for though. 😜 EDIT! Ok Im back, i see a lot of them now 🤣🤣🤣 top job.

Another awesome explosion of knowledge, nice one mate.. very useful for a new design I'm working on 🤘🏼
At first I thought: "this is way too simple for a Spoon Graphics tutorial", but the transparency mask was exactly the next level thing I expected:)
I always learn something new when I watch your tutorials. Thanks for making them.
Nice tutorial ! I would love to see a "Text series" tutorials in AI.

Funny, learned something again, I would have done it different in a more complicated way. :D
I gave you your thumb!
"Linear Gradient Effect"?
Both attempts do nt work whatsoever. I've spent hours on this. UGH. Illustrator might be the least user friendly software I've ever encountered
first comment. bro
Nice totourial but this is not necessary since a font in the same exact style is available so no need for all this struggle
This is most certainly not a struggle. It is a non-destructive and fully editable effect, unlike your font option.
