Yay! Thanks for featuring the corn/bull!! Always great to see you, looking forward to the next time! Also! Thanks for featuring the Shini too!! Double win for Billy, lol!
I know Im late to the show but I finally got time to sit and enjoy the video! Thank you Dav for stopping by the Crosstown Exotics booth with Kevin and giving us our second Amphibian Rattle On award! Maui the pixie frog may have looked cranky but he was just as happy as me to be able to chat!
Love your videos Dav! ❤ And it was awesome to see Kevin make it out to one of these, I feel like it rarely happens, he deserves a reptile expo vacay!! 🥺❤️
I always click on your videos first from my notifications for the day. I also wanted to say how awesome you and Kevin are when you guys are with each other, would love to see you guys go on an adventure together somewhere. Both of you are very knowledgeable, respectful to all wildlife, and the energy definitely matches
It was so wonderful to see you last weekend. Even though it was emotional for us. I still just thank you from the bottom of my heart that you were so wonderful to my mom. I left Tinley with 2 pythons. I found another one after I had seen you. Unfortunately, you had gone to the car by the end of the day, and I didn't get to say bye in person. But it's ok. Can't wait to see you next year!
Not the only rescue org I've seen with an oddball hybrid as a keeper. Righteous Reptile Rescue here in Colorado has a Brazilian/Colombian Rainbow Boa hybrid as a keeper, it has stunted growth and is tiny for an 11 year old Rainbow Boa. I remember meeting you at AARPE in Castle Rock, I ended up leaving that expo with not one but two new snakes, a DK/MBK hybrid and a het leucistic Colombian Rainbow Boa.
I remember when I was in the 5th grade, when I was about Adam's height, I caught my first San Francisco Garter Snake and I obviously didn't know how to keep a reptile and it got out of its enclosure and found its way into my mom's bedroom in the middle of the night. This was back in the early 1980s (maybe even late 1970s) so I didn't know they were endangered. I'm glad my mom made me put it back outside.
Dav! ..... you should totally come to Arizona and try to find a wild pancake tortoise and do a video on them... what a crazy species. I didn't even know they existed until last week
I just watched this video. I've raised bearded dragons and Uromastyx for 34 years. however, I've lost everything in 2024, including my last dragon who hatched in my hand 15 years ago. He was kidnapped from me last New Years Eve while I lay sick with 105 temp from pneumonia. Then my landlord died and I got evicted. I'm still bouncing from couch to couch. It's the first time in 34 years I've not had a dragon, and I am totally devastated and overwhelmed with grief. Losing one is hard enough, and I grieve hard for months when I do. But to have one taken away, who's been there every day for 15 years and gone thru shit with you? I will forever blame myself and I've just about hit bottom. I'm doing things I never wudda done before. Your story inspired me because we have a lot of what you said in common..I would love to talk to you by DM or something. I need to talk to someone who understands my pain about my lizards because nobody gets it and they all think I'm crazy. My dragons have saved my life more than once, but now they're gone and I have no purpose anymore. Is it possible that we could please talk? I know you're extremely busy but I sincerely need help. Thanks for your time.❤❤❤❤
Great video Dave, just to point out the kids picked out the Sanzinia volontany, not the Sanzinia madagascariensis as you show on the screen. Those kids had the best pic of the show btw!!
One day I will see you Adam I’ve met you already tho dav lol 😂 in the Daytona repticon I was that one blond kid with blue eyes but hopefully I could meet you again next year or maybe this year 👀
Corn snakes seem like they will hybridize with anything. I know there's lots of Corn/king and Corn/milk hybrids out there too, captive produced obviously.
Btw Dav Kaufman are you gonna be able to go to the Tampa repticon that’s by the Florida state grounds I heard that one would be a big one hopefully I could possibly see you there 👀 please reply and tell me I’m really curious 😂🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm not sure of the locations of bull and corn snakes, but I don't think I've ever heard of them living near each other before. I'd be tempted to guess that they don't cross paths in the wild generally, unless one was able to be an invasive species in the other's natural habitat. Could totally be wrong on that, as I wouldn't say I'm a snake expert by any means.
any body remember that old movie from the 80s with the African bullfrog as the star ... "when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore" ?
No I don't think Bullsnakes and Cornsnakes would hybridize simply because Bullsnakes are from the midwest and I believe cornsnakes are from Oklahoma, Kentucky and the more southerly regions of the U.S.
Bulls and corns don't overlap so they both could not and would not hybridize. Potential might be there for a Great Plains rat x bull, but I've never hear of one being reported in the wild...or made in captivity.
bull snakes and cornsnakes ranges are too far apart to be natural and i am pretty sure that is the only example of one to exist. you could get black rat/gopher hybrids, you could get grey rat and pine snake hybrids in the wild but not any other.
its always good for the reptile community when the guy with the most hair teams up with the guy with the least hair lol
always a fun time hangin Dav, nice to finally get to Tinley
Are you guys twins?
Always a great time hanging with you, Dav
So excited for the cow retic video with Kevin!! ❤

I’m in the background! It was really nice meeting you at your table. It was my first Tinley NARBC and I’m really glad i made my way out!

We've been talking about that for a long time and hopefully one day we make that happen
Yessss rattle on awards!!!!!!
The answer on the corn/bull hybridization is no because they don’t live in the same range. That said, WHAT A GORGEOUS SNAKE!

So happy you chose the corn-bull for the best snake.
Also, I'm really kicking myself for not getting that albino goini.
Dav! ..... you should totally come to Arizona and try to find a wild pancake tortoise and do a video on them... what a crazy species. I didn't even know they existed until last week
As for the BullCorn. Their ranges don't overlap ... but the Pine Snake, a close cousin to the Bull snake does share a range with Corn snakes.
Awesome!!! My latest vid the star snake was a mystery Gopher x Corn at the Utah expo. Funny.

The answer for the wild hybridization of corn/bull snakes is yes. I’ve heard that bull snakes are bad drivers but can still drive a car.
Adam is such a good sport lmao you can tell he’s a good guy
He's awesome
It's okay Adam, all the best people (myself included) are part of the #shortysquad
Damn I missed Kevin to man wish I coulda bumped into him!
❤❤❤❤
One day I will see you Adam I’ve met you already tho dav lol 😂 in the Daytona repticon I was that one blond kid with blue eyes but hopefully I could meet you again next year or maybe this year 👀
following the bouncy ball ..blah ha ha good one dave
Dav, when are you coming to South Africa
I should be there in the spring 2025
Ya I seen that lizard they are freaking amazing! I heard the Chinese crocodile lizards are very hard to breed in captivity per Zilla
So is there a fox corn anyway would wickens be mad if u carried a step ladder for him to stand on just saying
❤
Do the native ranges of corn snakes and bull snakes even overlap?
No. But the native ranges of Corn snakes and Pine snakes do, and Pine snakes are a close cousin to the Bull snake.
Guy at 3:14 is my buddy Kris he fought a guy at a Jewel Parking lot one time love him
🐢 ❤❤❤❤ 🦎 🐍
Nobody respects the pixie frog until they have a pixie frog 🐸
10:28 am I incredibly wrong for just thinking “please try to eat Dav” right then?
Speaking of the hybridization, Clint Laidlaw made some comments about that.
Sorry I won't be there this time
@@davkaufmansreptileadventures dang it I really would hoped you would be there but it’s fine at least I’ll have fun 😂
@@davkaufmansreptileadventures thank you for replying tho and letting me know 👍🙃
Learn something new everyday!! If asked if Pituophis & Pantherophis could breed, I would've definitely said "NO"!! Who'da thought.......
I'm waiting for the CornBall haha, ok that one might not happen, but Corns do seems like they will hybridize with just about any other colubrid.
How tall is Adam?😳 is he over 5 feet
I'm not sure of the locations of bull and corn snakes, but I don't think I've ever heard of them living near each other before. Did he really poop in your booth last year? How’d I forget that lol

Rattle on
Rattle on!

Exactly!
Ranges don’t overlap. If someone tells you they occur in the wild they’re full of bullcorn
My friend has a golden child cow retic
I would imagine it almost looking like a XXXXXL version of a lucy Rainbow Boa, with some black speckling as well.
ET was fashioned after uromastyx lizards is that true? They look nothing alike😂
Im sure if they run across each other when its breeding season, they will cross breed.
Watching this video before i feed my 7 year old tsk axantic pastel lesser 50% het orange ghost ball python called monty
Conservation is Key❤
Regarding a hybrid...... When you're lonely standards get·lowered.... just saying
Lol
