@@Reel-Kiwi-Fishing Thanks, yes i been daily for 2 weeks now. I used the three way swivel and a keeper hook until 22H00. Then the bite died off, lots of grabs and tugs, very aggressive. I also met a guy who caught a 95cms snapper in September at Campbells Bay on the lowest tide off the year. Anyway, my target this year is to catch the elusive kingfish.
@@lesliekistanministry191 Sounds good - Kings from the shore can be quite hard but get that burley pumping - that spot at scotts landing maybe an option off the corner of the little island on the last of the outgoing and incoming. Put a live Kahawai under a balloon. You could also try that spot on the other side just around from pudding. Tight lines
@@Reel-Kiwi-Fishing Thank you, thats great advice. I will message you some photos of the fish we have been catching. Yes, I will try this and I am sure it will work! Cheers LK
No fishing for me this week...very bad weather in my country (mediterranean sea south of FRANCE ) No problem 😭😭😭 I see your vid mate and i am happy 😭😭😭. Cheers my friend.
Reminds me of years ago living in akl and used to holiday up at Whatuwhiwhi ... would go out in the kayak to heaps of structure just around the corner...would tie off to a piece of surface kelp...great fishin, great days.... 50cm pannie ? That's a good size pan ya got there brother...lol
Sorry M M no I don't - there are some real good charters that way out fish me on the Coromandel, being in big fish country right on their doorstep they would get you into some nice fish for sure. Tight lines
Hi ET This time of year is very hectic with school holidays / camping and a bit of fishing with fam and friends - I get asked by so many people and would have a list as long as my arm - I would love to fish with all you guys but the reality is time and sorry to say but my fam and fishing buddies come first. I'm trying to look at ways where I can suggest a place we will be fishing and all are welcome to catch up and come for a fish so maybe in the new year we maybe getting a line wet somewhere for all who would want to meet up. Have a great holiday and Xmas and a safe HNY Tight lines
Love this clip. Thank you. We followed all your advice and caught 40cms broad snappers daily.
Nice LK - sounds like producing fish more often - great to hear :-)

Those dang pesky snaps again! Highly underrated the old bucket mouth for eating just gotta watch those damn spines
I reckon slightly deeper reefs, ledger rigs and circle hooks is the way to go for reef fish.
Do you run a charter? Would love to spend a day out fishing with you😊
