Hooray! So happy to hear the Coriander Colors will be a basic!! So beautiful! Thank you also for Saturday videos! It's a fun bonus to look forward to on a Saturday morning! A cup of coffee and happy quilty inspiration! ❤
A friend pieced the Purry Stars and I quilted and finished it. It went to my niece for a fundraiser for a spay and neuter organization that she belongs to. We made each cat a different colour. Thanks for the great patterns and videos.
All your quilts and fabrics are so very gorgeous. Now I have to search ours fabric shops to see is carrying them. Love all your quilts, thanks for sharing with us. 👍❤️🙂
Thanks so much Carmen! Quilt shops are currently ordering Cali & Co. fabrics so if you would like your local shops to carry it, now is the time to let them know! =)
Love that the new colors line will be a basic. I look for those for background fabrics so often and they are sometimes difficult to find. Love that I will be able to get them ongoing! Thank you and Moda!!
It'll be so nice to have Coriander Colors added to Coriander Seeds as a basic. I've been enjoying mixing Coriander Colors with my other lines. =) Well, and Coriander Seeds I've been using for a couple years now!
Love Purry Stars. I already have this pattern and I have sewing 9 of them in Valentines colors for a wall hanging. I ran out of background fabric and got distracted with something else. I have a program called Triangulations 4.0 CD-ROM by Brenda Henning, it's Half square triangle, Quarter square triangles and flying geese. You can buy the CD or the download. I also use newspaper print paper to print them out on. Works like a charm.
There sure is a whole lot of cuteness going on with these cat quilts! I love the way you put a quilt block in the center of the cat. And I love the fabrics used. Thank you, Cory.
Purry Stars must surely be an homage to your beloved Tiggs and the cat lover in me immediately knew I had to make this pattern. Thank you for this fun pattern.
It does have an orange Tiggs cat as well as a black Frances cat. =) But, I suspect other quilters might have different names/colors they will use to personalize their Purry Stars quilt! =)
Re the June Taylor ruler: I discovered this ruler w/ just the slits (no additional markings) a few years ago-on one of my “internet adventures.” I was making scarves out of fleece to donate. I cut 4” fringe in each end of the scarf using this ruler. Works like a charm for this!
It would!...there are other rulers with just the slits (like the Stripology rulers) that make cutting lots of squares/rectangles so nice. It was a great idea to use one for fringe!
Love love love the cat quilt & the coriander colors fabric, I will be purchasing the pattern. Always enjoy your videos, and love your fabric collections too.
I so look forward to your Saturday videos. Thank you for offering a $5 pattern of the month. This one I do not have so I will be adding to my collection of your patterns! My favorite rulers for just about everything are the stripology rulers!
The thing that using economy paper for the economy block is that it just because an expensive block and not an economy one! Love that ruler you showed!!! I love your quilts and really - just really like your style/colors/vibe.
Beautiful ! N yes I love cats. I rescued a kitten n it’s the first cat I’ve had in years . I love Kit Carson n he loves it when I cut out my quilts. . I’m ordering the purely stars pattern n fabric. Thank you

They have a lot of really great papers. The ones I have found I use most often are the square in a square pads. Those are so nice if you have just one that you need made in the center of a quilt block. If I have the right size, sometimes I'll just grab one of them to use.
Good morning! Cute quilts! QUESTIONS….other than Ohio Star, what is your next favorite block? Do you have a certain thread color that you feel works best with your fabrics? What fabric company do you feel frays the least? Have you seen ,ugh with Liberty of London fabrics? I am doing my first quilt with them and LOVE it! Super soft so I starched it but, I have had no fraying at all!
I already have the Purry Cats pattern and the shirt. I can't wait to make the cats in Coriander Colors. What a great basic! I'm a cat lady so this pattern is a favorite. I always look forward to seeing your videos. I just love your fabrics and patterns!!
Thank you so much Norma!...I think that would be Dashing you are talking about. It was the first pattern I designed for my Coriander Quilts pattern line many years ago! =)
Love the Purry Stars quilt! Can you do a tutorial on how to make this block? Would love to see how the block is put together. Look forward to seeing your videos! Thank you for having this pattern for $5.
Just ordered my own Purry Stars pattern. Great idea for a Halloween table runner. Love it in the Coriander Colors version! I always look forward to your Saturday morning videos. Thanks!
QUESTION … I’ve been quilting 20+ years and “scrappy” is still very intimidating for me. Mixing designers, fabric lines, scale etc… is out my comfort zone but I like the look of other people’s scrappy quilts. How do you tackle “scrappy”? I tend to over-plan ♥️
I love the Purry stars quilt. Thank you for offering it as a $5.00 pattern for the month. I plan on making it. I want to use the economy foundation paper pad. What size would I use for this pattern? Love your videos and your quilts give me inspiration.
I love the quarter square ruler as well! I’m on my second one, and it’s starting to look rough. 😅 can I use the excuse I’ve been quilting for years 😊 Thank you for your videos.
Thank you! That would be up to you...it probably depends most on the size you want your finished project to be. The sashing is a pretty addition to the project.
My first quilt was a simple cat quilt! I must make this one. I have a question about Strawberry fabric. I realize that you don't ship your fabric. LOL. However, you may have the scoop on shipping status. II can't find the large black floral fabric that is the border for Deerly Loved. I have ordered all of the other fabrics for that pattern but can't find the border fabric in any online shops or on Etsy. Do you happen to know if it is sold out already or maybe just hasn't shipped yet? thanks!
Starberry fabrics have shipped out to quilt shops from Moda. If you google "starberry 29180 14" this will pull up online shops that have it for sale. I do see that shops are already starting to sell out of it but that search will pull up shops that still have it for sale.
How do keep your fabric from fraying? I have only been quilting for a couple years and I noticed that when using solids they tend to fray. I only use high quality quilting cottons. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you contact me directly from Etsy.com, I will be happy to help you out. When you are in the Coriander Quilts shop, you can click any of the "contact" buttons to send me a message.
