Arkansas Bozo was a boss. For a state like Arkansas, he was the gem in the rough of the wasteland of entertainment. Bozo rocked our world. I only wish someone could have taken the flame in 91 and continued on indefinitely.
Grew up in St. Louis but used to watch him in the afternoons when visiting my grandparents in Pine Bluff, Ark. Loved his show and seeing these clips from the 60' and early 70's takes me back to carefree days in my childhood. South Arkansas was a second home for me and seeing these clips takes me back.
My absolute favorite program as a kid! Couldn't wait to get home...get my snack and post up in front of the TV for the Bozo Show! Whoa NILLY 😂 RIP Mr. Weir. You were a treasure ❤️
Bozo was a huge part of my life growing up. I have never forgotten and never will. So much love in my heart for those childhood memories watching this show.
Oh and I should mention that I will always remember Craig O'Neil's radio show and spending a few summers coming to Little Rock just to be a part of the dance party at Wild River Country!
I'd go visiting to other places, and never liked their Bozo, even Chicago. There just wasn't any like Arkansas' Bozo, Gary Weir. I got to b e on the show when I was little, I think 1968 or 1969.
Bob Bell, the original Chicago Bozo was hysterical; a great comedian. Gary didn't do that kind of show; they were different. I like Gary, but, would probably, as a performer myself, watch Chicago's Bob Bell and later Joey D'Auria, for Bozo lessons. Gary's approach worked here, and his idea of making the kids the stars of the show resonated. Chicago's show was for comedy and intended to reach a broad audience of kids and adults. They're both good in their own way, although, again, as a performer, I like Chicago's comedy approach. To each their own though.
noooo BOZO was so awesome! He was funny to! crap you for saying that. I actually got to meet him when he was not in suit and he was the nicest old man ever! he had a heart for children and laughter and I respect that. may you rest in peace bozo.

I would rush home every evening to watch Bozo when I was in first and second grade. It came on every week day at 3:30.

No Bozo show in Northeast Ohio😭. This Bozo was good, but the WGN Bozo was the best (the 80's-2001 version) which was the only one on my tv.
Sarah Jones,I remember that one too but thought it was "How smart is your Momma,100 or FORTY FIVE!"
