Dottie's was a dive bar in Atlanta. Dottie died and her son Lenny took it over and drove it into the ground. It closed in 2010. But during the 1990's a lot of new indie acts like Cat Power played shows there, it's where you played a show in the Atlanta area if you couldn't find anybody else to play.
*It was on Memorial* near Boulevard, back when Cabbagetown was a weird mix of broke musicians, dilletante junkies, and racist hicks who continued to squat in the worthless company housing their grandparents were never kicked out of when the cotton mill closed.
