Nice effort but just an FYI Phillipine is actually acceptable as it is used to inanimate the word Philippines. Its just like the Philippine National Anthem not being called as PhillippineS National Anthem. 😊

Because names of countries are considered "proper noun" and the rule of thumb has a good reason for it. Your land, should always be called the PhilippineS with an -S ending. Ex: the Philippines National Anthem. That's the way you would write that at all times. Another: the Philippines Coast Guard; Philippines Senate; Philippines Hospital, etc. Do Not Change it. be blessed. may2021.
