When the show first started, I used to learn sewing tips (much appreciated from a tentative sewer). Now the sewing skills seem to be secondary to the ideas. This series, I’m left with the impression that not very much was finished very well. I’ve read the book, Less. Most of it is the history of textiles and fashion. I take the point about buying less, but of better quality to make it last. However, what Patrick fails to address is the fact that bodies have a habit of changing shape and size, especially for women (post partum, menopause etc).😉. Nevertheless, as a knitter who is always looking to lose some weight. I shall buy some very expensive organic yarn and knit a sweater or cardigan and when I get thinner, I’ll unravel it and knit something else. That might work! 😘😁
I agree with the emphasis shift on the bee. It's a shame. It seems to go against the ethos he's talking about in his book (which I'm currently reading). I'd rather they got to finish things to a good standard and give us more tips as they used to in the earlier series.
