Busboyz same club from the 80s that was my titan red 13 window. There was couple of the original members in attendance. They still drive the same buses from those days. #CALIFORNIA BUSBOYZ
Great seeing you Mike. That’s the first video I’ve ever seen of me driving the truck. Thanks for including it. 👍 I’m pretty sure that is a ‘62 single cab in L87 Pearl White you were asking about. My truck is that exact spec. ‘62s have fried egg front turns and large late rear lenses. They also have “icepick” door handles and if you look closely it should have a “hump back” seat back as well as 2 year only(‘61/‘62) 3position seat brackets. Those are almost comically useless. 😂. That’s how I identify a ‘62. If it has nipples up front and smalls in back but has the 3 position brackets it’s a ‘61. ‘60 and earlier has only single position seat mounts and no hump back.
@@Mikefngarage They might, but they won’t have a humpback or the 3 position brackets. I’m no expert though. Haha. I finally felt like I got a deal at OCTO for once. Picked up an unbent 15” bus rim for 10 bucks. It’s been a decade since that happened. Lol.
In German they have an O with a little u above it to give the O a more au sound from what I remember I was little when I went to school out there I remember going to the OC fair for car shows with my sister & her husband that’s where I fell in love with the oval window 🥰 but I have a ‘58 one day you will see it
I have driven 76 for 8 hours. then I sped up to about 80 for the last 2 hours....toward the end when I went up to San Francisco. Just climbing hills I need to watch it with the 3.44 gears in the trans and the 1904. Final drive is 3.85 with taller than stock tires as well. I have 9 to 1 compression which is a bit too high for climbing starts to ping under a load. these speeds are really too much for the body....so I probably could do 80 for a long period of time but I dont because it is not safe. at 80 it will start to spit oil (crankcase pressure too high)
Sonderausführung is Special model I said it totally wrong Could not remember what it sounded like. Ha ha.
22.43 the blue/white roof bus.
Those side windows look awesome. Nothing like that here in Australia. 😢
Blows my mind with all the beautiful Busses out there!! I never see them in the northeast anymore. Gone to rust heaven for sure.
I need to find the list of VW Bus events that you have.. I would love to go to these shows!!
-45° below zero where I live, bus is hibernating, glad somebody's out enjoying their buses in SoCal 🚌 🥶
Do you live in Antarctica?

You got that right!
Always love it when you take us to the local meetings. Not too much vw activity around these parts. 👍👍

@@Mikefngarage nobody needs to know everything. 🤙🏻 German is also not the easiest to speak. ☺️

right know I hate narrowed beam rides like shit in any wind. No anti-sway bar.
