We are in dire need of civic education and National Commission on Civic Education must be seen to be living up to their mandate. Democracy demands more than voting and sitting back expecting the elected to deliver. You do not hire a manager for your company and neglect oversight (just because he’s a professional) and expect all to go well all the time. After all, every nation gets the leadership it wants.
