Is this same for smart alternators too? Ie, if smart alternator fitted can you just use a split charge relay or do you need a dc/dc unit straight off the ccp..? Does that make sense sorry?
Hi. You always need a b2b charger for a custom (apart from the first ones). This point is where you take the power from for the b2b or split charge relay if an early custom. This is a permanent live feed so you will need to have an ignition switched live to actiivate some b2b chargers. (You can get b2b chargers that are voltage sensing so don't need the extra ignition switched live) I will do a video on where to take an ignition switched live from in the new year. :-)
