    Never heard it called rowing up before. We call it raking hay and we rake it into windrows.

      Thank you for your replies, In the old days we used to use a different implement that had four or five large vertical discs mounted to a large frame, with sprung tines on which raked the ground and we called that a raker/ rower, but certainly when I was growing up we used to call it tedding and rowing. I will add that I no longer am involved in the farming and I just record my nephew and his colleagues when they are harvesting my father’s fields, so they may well call it something different. I’m sure the field sizes here are way smaller than anything you have out there, but this is sheep hill farming land in wales, picturesque but not practical for large machinery.

    Why do you Wrap hay? Thats soemthing you do with Silage.

      Hi good question, the hay in this video it isn’t wrapped in plastic but just netting, but in my other videos it’s not hay it’s actually barley being wrapped, which is unusual I know, but there was too much grass in the field so wasn’t left to ripen, so that will be a silage type feed.
