    Understanding the ins and outs of technology terms doesn't need to be difficult. In this video, we explain the commonly searched phrase "what is ITIL" and outline how viewers can use it to their benefit.
    Businesses need their IT hardware and software to work for them in successful and efficient ways. The hope when discussing IT service management is that all IT services will always work together in the best possible ways to help a business meet its specific needs and short- and long-term goals.
    To achieve stellar IT service management, a business benefits the most from extra guidance. Improved IT service management can happen when following the ITIL framework. What is this framework? Formerly known as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, it is a popular method for handling ITSM. This framework is a time-tested general set of standard instructions or recipe for the best IT service management practices known to benefit any type of business. These recommendations cover a wide range of areas like procedures, training programs and customizing ITSM to a company's needs at various levels. Business leaders can apply these practices, which include topic-focused checklists and tasks, to any of their specific ITSM plans. The best part is that this guidance can work for a business no matter how small it is when it starts out or how large it becomes as it grows and prospers.
    ITIL recommendations have existed in various offline and online reference forms since the 1980's. As technologies and business needs have changed over the years, this incredible best practices guide has been updated to provide new terms and definitions and relevant modern insights into information technology service management. It's important to keep in mind that like a chef with a recipe, IT managers and other leaders at any business can pick which instructions to use for their specific situation. ITIL is merely a guide that a business can customize to fit its needs.
    SysAid's IT tool integration software includes this amazing framework of suggestions designed to make ITSM easier.

      for example: in your company if you don't know how to manage your IT department (provides IT services like, helpdesk, SLA,how your password policy should be, how to safe your data in-case of earthquake, disaster recovery, etc...), they(ITIL people) guide you how to manage the services. you just have to follow their rules and have certification from them. Now come to the point: i want to give a project to you, before that i'll check you whether you are following IT standards or not, How can i check...?, if you show me your ITIL certificate then i came to know that oohhh this guy has ITIL certificate and he is following rules..i can give project to him

    Then what's the difference between QMS and ITIL? Because QMS also has work instructions and guidelines to help all people from the V model to improve their work and to delived in the end , the best products to our clients, in order to meet or exceed theirs expectations...How collaborates together ITIL and QMS? Is ITIL the same as concept in a factory and in a software company?

      SysAid Hi there, I have a cloud adoption project! Can ITIL help me to process the migration from local infrastructure to cloud infrastructure?

    • @sysaid
      @sysaid  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rafal2385 ITIL as a methodology or framework could most certainly help with your cloud migration project. If you consider what the process of a cloud migration is, you could easily tie these into the relevant processes. I expect you would be performing the migration in a staggered approach; this could be supported by a strong change control process that ensures your risks and impacts are accounted for while also laying out a clear implementation and testing structure. Incident management would allow you to capture any unexpected issues that occurred post-migration stage and provide learning opportunities to improve on the next cycle. And configuration management would ensure that you maintain a clear picture of your infrastructure as you progress on your migration journey. I hope this goes some way to helping. And it goes with out saying that a great tool will go a long way as well! :)

    Actually it is pronounced it-ill, not eye-tull. It is only when it moved state-side did our colonial cousins change the pronunciation (and not for the first time :-) )
