    Wonderful. Fascinating stuff. I was introduced to plate tectonics and the Active Earth principle back in the '60s, when the primary papers were struggling for publication.

      My parents subscribed me to the International Oceanographic foundation's monthly magazine, Sea Secrets, and to the much thinner scientific bu-monthly.

    Some of the Canadian Kimberlite pipes were found by following back the trails left by glaciers that scraped the surfaces off and smeared them down flow.
    Talking to the Nautilus Minerals people at a mining trade show was interesting. Their "mining" process is efficient, because there's no overburden to shift or move away, and ecologically benign for much the same reason. Their principal problems now are political.
