- Today we visit 3 special rhinos in ZOOM Adventure World Gelsenkirchen. Zookeeper Philipp Grabowicz introduces us to these important ambassadors of their species.
Why are these rhinos special? Well, first of all, of course, all rhinos are very special in their own way. With the three pachyderms in the ZOOM Adventure World, however, there are many exciting things to report about these animals, which is why we chose this title. The video also explains how you can differentiate them individually.
Zoos play an important role in the protection of these rhinos, the southern white rhinos, but also for the other rhino species and subspecies. Why? Philipp Grabowicz explains that as well as the basics of animal biology. This creates a comprehensive, educational experience around the three rhinos: Cera, Tamu, and Rimbo.
The three rhinos live in the adventure world of Africa in exciting socialization that is specially constructed. How it all works in practice and how it was designed to do that is also the subject of the video. Thanks to this installation, many African species live together. This is great not only for the visitors but also for the animals.
