Hi! I wanted to ask if you recall your g30-770 setup sounding anything like this setup. I saw you’ve ran both turbos before. Also, what do you think about the g30-900?
Asking because I’m about to pull the trigger on my turbo kit with the 770 this month as it’s on sale until 11/30 😅.
I’m on a 2023 VB but I’m hoping I make similar power to what you posted in the past (maybe a lil less because this platform is limited in fueling right now)
I love your car build and videos. Thanks for your time :)

Sorry for the late response on this. If by sound you mean the whistle on spool up, then yes, all G-series turbos have them. I would say go for the G-series turbos from Garrett only if you intend on running them under 32 PSI. They tend to overspeed easily and operate off-map at high boost, which causes them to fail easily. Currently running a p6466. Can give you many more details if you would like on email /WhatsApp / Instagram DM cause there isn't much space here.
Thank you for your kind comments!

It was on half load in the video...big difference between this and the g30-770. Would make 650 whp easy if dialled up and if the wastegate dumps externally, as opposed to back into the downpipe the way it's set up now. Also I'm using restrictive headers with 39mm primaries that don't flow high up top as opposed to Zuhair's car equipped with headers that have 42 mm primaries. Ask Sam Badawi. Ignition timing is also very conservative.

@@ahmedibrahim-ok8rh if you study the pressure ratios and mass flow rates etc on the compressor and turbine maps (which I did before deciding on the turbo setup) you will see that the turbo is more equivalent to the gen 2 gtx3582r, only differing in that the 0.83 A/R turbine housing is 4% more efficient, flows 3 lb/min more for the same A/R, and the compressor operates 7% more efficiently at the choke line if you operate at a absolute pressure ratio of 3.2. in short, if someone concludes that this turbo is equivalent to the gtx3576r, they can do so only by virtue of the compressor exducer size of 76mm. They're great turbos but because of their high efficiency compressor wheel designs, they easily operate off-map above 30 - 32 psi on an EJ 257 above 6000 rpm.
