its a korean convention that has lots of games and food and has the coolest korean pop bands and solo artists that hold a big concert at the end of the day.its for mostly people that are big kpop fans.

A stampede or airport disturbance could very well result from just a simple wave and shakehand from a superstar. I think it has happened before (not with GD). If ever he waves or acknowledges fans, I think, they are trained to just do it from a safe distance before leaving or non at all.
His security people have told him not to acknowledge the fans at an airport, it could go wild. He behaves this way at every airport -- low profile, keep walking, get in the car, leave.

For some people, this is the first & last time they'll ever see him, stop. They're just excited.
