  • The UCSF Brain Tumor Center has validated a new imaging tool for rapid detection of residual glioma cells during surgery. This technique, called Stimulated Raman Histology, allows for intraoperative testing of fresh tissue samples from the edges of the tumor cavity - yielding images within minutes for microscopic detection of residual tumor cells.
