  • When I first arrived, I was struck by the physical beauty of the temple and the grounds. And then we went to the langar hall and kitchen it took things to a whole other level, a sort of pure manifestation of goodwill. Sometimes it feels like one can’t make a difference in the world, but the kitchens and the energy of those working there, felt like a concrete example of people engaging in their community to make others’ lives better. The spirit of the place is something I will never forget. The act of generously feeding people who are hungry is really inspiring.
In next vlog I’ll show you full kitchen tour.

They will never stop you to eat even if you eat whole life 2 times a meal, at least they never asked me why you come daily to eat, i ate for 10 years in gurudwara near my house after that i had to shift to other city, i like gurudwara food it gets digested easily and no pain in stomach, i don't like lavish dish, only simple food that gets easily digested, because it is first served to the lord Guru Nanak first and then people are given to eat...

One of the most interesting thing in Gurudwara is the rich and famous is also cleaning dishes without any self pride of being of higher caste or being rich, they are treated the same way as the common man, those who have never washed dish in their house gives selfless service without any motives in gurudwara cleaning floor, swiping floor, cleaning dishes, it is worth to watch and see the rich and affluent class washing dish, hope you have noticed this, this message was spread my Guru Nanak the most revered angel soul on earth, i am krishna devotee yet i like Guru Nanak's preaching, it is worth learning and understanding the preachings of Guru Nanak in Guru Granth Sahib...

You are a Sikh (Student) of Guru (Sri Guru Nanak, Sri Guru Gobind and Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji). Sikh means Students who are always learning, helping and working (naam, kirat, vand) and not just people with "turbans". Love from India. We need to free Tibet from oppression. Tibetians are great people. We love Dalai Lama the great Guru.

I really respect when you say never waste. Take as much as you can eat. Even we can take again and again but we should not stack up and then waste

Beautiful thing is that process of langar (making rotis, cutting vegetables, cooking , serving, dishwashing, cleaning, managing utensils..) is majorly done by sangat i.e. volunteers themselves as a part of 'Seva' which means selfless service to Waheguru. Around 80-85% are volunteers here. This is how the community kitchen of this scale is being managed with love and devotion. Sense of unity, satisfaction and spirituality you get after doing seva is just amazing. Make sure you also experience this by doing seva whenever you visit any gurudwara.
