Fiesta Texas uses Diesel hydraulic. They are beautiful engines, but NOT steam like Six Flags Over Texas. Six Flags AstroWorld had one remaining oil fired locomotive until its 2005 closure. That engine is now in at Santa Margarita, CA. The other engine went to a private owner w/ all 8 coaches in Idaho.
Well, that's interesting. A 4-4-0 American style steam engine that runs on propane fuel. That makes it a 4-4-0 Propane engine. Also, it's running on narrow gauge tracks
Busch Gardens were WAY further out of time than the Tommy G. Roberson. At least they kept St. Louis steam. I'm stll mad @ Six Flags Atlanta. Diesel hydraulic. Geeessh!
As a locomotive geek myself this 4-4-0 locomotive has no trouble at all pulling that train and with a small railroad line I'm guessing this train is going somewhere around five to ten miles per hour give or take. They usually go up to a top speed of ninty-five miles per hour on a main line.
Awesome, I'm actually working on getting hired on for the 2025 season to be an engineer.
4:40 not gonna lie it does actually almost look like a model from the top of the ferris wheel
My favorite ride at Six Flags.
Nice
Go to to over Texas they have a live steam train to
Awesome footage! Looks like a really cool operation and amusement park
Thanks
I been too Fiesta Texas but have not seen this locomotive i wanna see it badly

Yes s very pretty narrow gauge 4-4-0 built in the 70s for the park by crown locomotive works
Awesome angles man. It’s such a nice engine. Idk how you’ve been going there a lot this year. Lol
Thanks I've been here alot as it's a amusement park really close to me
God the timing on this engine sounds awful. Fun fact: Six Flags St. Louis originally had 2 trains, but one was sold to Busch Gardens Tampa.
Sounds normal to me, maybe it's the fact its propane fired. Also yes they did have a second train it was originally green

Fuck it I'm goin there
Frisco 1522 AS AM I
So im curious how fast do they normally go and is the engine having trouble pulling the train
I have no clue on either of those questions
