    I'm a huge fan of sunflowers and this is fantastic and the fact that you use yarn makes it so much more affordable. Thank you so much for sharing/

      💙 Thank you! I agree, using yarn is SO MUCH affordable. Just make sure that it’s half the thickness of your rope, that way your knots are square to mimic the grid 🤗🌻

    what app do you use to create the pixel pattern ?

    • @SimplyInspiredbySheena
      @SimplyInspiredbySheena  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      💙 I hand drew it on an app called PixelArt. I know it’s available on iOS but not sure if it’s available on android

    I've used your other tutorials. They are awesome BTW! With this one, you only use one strand instead of two. Does each square on the pattern equal one ddh knot?

    • @SimplyInspiredbySheena
      @SimplyInspiredbySheena  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      💙 yes that’s correct, one square on the grid is one vertical double half hitch knot in that corresponding colour
      And as far as tying knots around one cord or two, it depends on what materials you use. Yarn is half the diameter of my rope so I would tie my knots around 1 cord….but if I were using all rope that was the same size then I’d have to tie my knots around 2 cords
      The rule of thumb is that your working cords have to be half the thickness of your filler because when you tie your VDHH knot you wrap it around twice and you want your knot to be as close as a perfect square as possible (like your grid pattern) so your image doesn’t distort
      …plus yarn is cheaper and comes in so many more colours 😄

      This is mine. It seems smaller than yours. Don't know what the finished size is? Please feel free to critique

    I really have been avoiding these style of knots because I was worried about changing colors or not getting the knot tension right. I love the complexity of the colors you can now chop and change with. Although your probably definitely didnt start that way, what kind of simple designs did you start with to learn to change cords and colors?

    What kind of wood is this? Here, in my city in Brazil, it's so easy to find nice sticks like this.
