Could listen to George all day, everything he says is from the heart. No lie in him.
So glad George Groves became a world champion
Saint George Groves 🎉 ONE of my favourite great fighter 👏 💪
I love groves great man comes across well an made it to top of the mountain an retired with all his faculties.
Love George. One of the best jabs in the business. Class fighter!
Ironically, I supported Froch in their fights but after hearing George speak , he's definitely the classier and nicer bloke. He was unlucky in their first fight. Glad that he won his world title, he was a very good fighter.
Great guy, and phenomenal fighter. Had absolute dynamite in his right hand.
Went back and watched the Chudinov fight after this. It really was a great finish, and knowing the context made it so much more dramatic. Groves was a fantastic boxer with real pop. I know the brother of one of his former opponents, and when he told me his next fight was George Groves, I just went quiet.
Haha i can imagine😂
Spreading your wings Jim...brilliant!!
So much respect for groves top bloke wish u all the best mate 🥊🥊
Always been a fan of George. Top man.
Incredible description of the title winning fight. Great stuff.
That’s a great story. Decent bloke this guy.
What a nice bloke he is
Mr Gutknecht has trouble communicating and mobilising and will always need full-time care and help with daily life. The judge acknowledged the ongoing support provided to him by his wife and sister Irina, also his litigation friend.
Following approval, Irina spoke about the terrible difficulties the family faced to find the funds to fully support Eduard, with adapted accommodation and ongoing therapies. Eduard currently attends a workshop for the disabled during the day but the rest of the time is looked after by his wife and sister who both work and bring up seven children between them.
Irina said that Eduard needs constant reminding of how to perform daily tasks, such as cleaning his teeth, and will never be able to work or live alone. He is currently able to walk a few steps unaided.
Loved him as a fighter! Froch double, wba champion, but for me, his best fight was v Eubank Jr, absolutely schooled him in every way possible and made that loudmouth narcissist look a right mug, loved it!!
I cared about the badou Jack fight 😂, I think it was on my birthday, got dropped in the first round but you knicked it for me
Underrated fighter
At his best, an elite boxer with an awkward and unpredictable style. I was, and still am, disappointed he lost to Froch because he was far more skilled, and shouldn't have.
Great to see you expand our of rugby Jim - your show is class
Sadly he was never the same after the first froch fight
What a rubbish comment, it takes far more than fast hands and good skills to survive at the very top of world championship level, which Froch was, to survive at that elite level against a true warrior you have to be able to survive tremendous punishment and unfortunately, when it came to the crunch, Groves couldn’t get Froch out of there and couldn’t resist what Froch had in the locker for him despite being the more skilful fighter of the two.
@@derekdevaney2242 Yes fair that it takes far more than just skill. And that Froch punch was measured to perfection and he put the debate - and Groves - well and truly to bed.
Simply not tough enough for frochy unfortunately bud slicker with better skills yes, but should of beat Carl is going too far
Groves is the only boxer I have seen who actually made Froch look scared in the ring. If only for a few minutes there was fear in his eyes. Bit like AJ has looked for his last 5 fights the dosser.
Would always tune in for a groves fight, was often in good scraps, but was never his biggest fan. warmed to him after he retired.
Can tell by the hair transplant mate that you don’t want to be a killer no more
You sound jealous mate
@@user-dq6se6er8j haha 😂
He definitely looked more masculine with a shaved head and beard.
I know how it feels seriously hurting someone in a fight and then wondering why you are pursuing a career in fighting afterwards knowing the end result can be devastating. I hope Eduard is doing better. Boxing ref's are some of the worst ref's in the world.
I always wondered why Groves’ style went towards points victories similar to Eubank after Watson😢
I had him beating jack by a point. Funnily enough I also scored jack beating DeGale by a point too. It's funny how boxing works. Groves was robbed of the chance of seeing out the first Froch fight by a bad ref. He was competitive in the second fight until a single punch knocked him out. Then the jack fight. Things can go one way or the other by the finest of margins in boxing.
Could of been worse could be like Chisora and just hang around taking hidings every time
Did George give any of his paycheque for the Gutknecht fight to his family? That would say a lot....
If you’ve made enough money then why carry on. Fair play
Why does no one ask him why he got rid of his tattoos
Shame it wasn’t Froch that went into the coma
Incredible fighter. Terribly unlucky against Froch in the first fight. He has an amazing mentality and he needs to get into training fighters
