@@inflatable2 and i couldn't be happier for her..she struggled against many odds...loved both her and Tarja for decades...really hate to see former and new NW fans disparage either...if Floor heard some of the nasty adjectives leveled at Tarja, she would be outraged and the same goes for some old Tarja fans belittling the Valkyrie
No band evokes emotional response, in the form of chills, goosebumps, hair raising ( sorry Stan) and tears, the way Nightwish does!!!! Thanks Guys- Top 10 song!
Well, being a NW fan for 20 years I fell in love with them hearing Tarja singing many of these live songs. But, Floor... Floor is just everything... the best thing that ever happened to them. They evolved throughout the years and every single addition they had, made them perfect and beyond. Tuomas & Empu since 1996, Marco since 2001, Troy since 2007 (official member since 2013), Floor since 2013, Kai since 2014 (official member since 2019).
"Once upon a night we'll wake to the carnival of life The beauty of this ride ahead such an incredible high It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead This moment the dawn of humanity The last ride of the day Last ride of the day" You cannot be any more positive and metal at the same time.
Love how the the band looks happy . since Floor arrived at Nightwish ... Tuomas (the master behind Nightwish) looks happy like never before. with Tarja they were good, but they didn't look happy, especially the last years with her. with anette it was like if she had never managed to fit, with Floor they have the quality, talent, energy and really enjoy what they do. That's why a lot of fans say that Nightwish now is better than ever 🤘👍
They are really popular in South America also. They love them down there. Of course Europe , Scandinavian. They have toured in Russia, China, Australia and Japan. One of the goals for the Nightwish army is to get them known more here in the US and Canada. Then we may get more cities and dates. Also bigger venues so you get the whole show. So guys you are helping us to get them out there and I for one appreciate it very much. I think more of the world needs to hear their music, because it makes you feel. It is amazing how they still had that much energy for a song like that after the show they did. Thanks again............. :-)
I'm really hoping for another North American tour after their new album comes out. I saw them in Nashville just after Endless Forms came out, and it was a wonderful show.
Like you guys said in your discussion at the end, all of you reactor channels are doing such an invaluable service to bands like Nightwish... bands whose talent far exceeds most of the best we have here in the U.S. music scene yet are virtually unknown simply because they are systematically (sometimes I think deliberately) ignored by the large entertainment corporations that control what they want us to hear about on radio and TV. The popularity explosion of reactor channels like yours over the past two years is making a big dent in that information blackout. Thanks to you, we're making a positive difference. Rather than copyright striking you, the record labels that hold these copyrights ought to be kissing your boots with thank-you's for all the free marketing you are giving to the bands and, therefore by implication, their own financial coffers. Keep up the great work, all of you. Spread the word far and wide and share reactors' videos as much as you can. Together we may just succeed in helping make Nightwish as mainstream in the U.S. market as they are everywhere else in the world! Thanks again B&S! :)
Yes, this next North American Tour they are definitely going to need much bigger venues then they have played in in the past. All due to, as you have mentioned, all the new fans they have garnered due to reaction videos made to their songs here on TH-cam.
@@marcmorton1439 I hope we are both correct about that! I'm wishing, probably in vain, that they will do a U.S. venue large enough to permit the full pyrotechnics show!
This was Annette's best song I think when she sang with them. Its nice how they maintain the style of the song, but use Floor's vocal abilties to expand how awesome it is. Also shows how awesome a singer Marco is, as his voice, if he sang like he does with Floor would have completely overpowered Annette.
Marco adjusted, or tempered his voice to fit well with the other singers.... with Floor he can just cut loose... she can get over the top of him whenever she chooses... they both are PERFECT fits for this band and each other
And theres really no need to somehow prove she can do them all... really no need. Why wouldnt we listen to the other two singers too? Just in recent concerts its quite hard to hear other than Floors version, however hard we would try :)
This show is a classic and a legend already. One of the biggest bands of our time. Thank you two for showing them on your channel. It helps you and it helps them to become more known in America.
This song sometimes gets kind of overlooked, but it's a great one. And it was such a powerful close for this epic concert in particular. Incidentally, you've almost reacted to two songs here: the music you hear as they bow out is Imaginaeurum, an instrumental piece that closes the album with the same name and that has this wonderful way of going from song to song in the album. You can recognize the mood of all the songs that came before. Imaginaerum as a whole is special: the album is carefully crafted to tell the story of a human lifetime. In fact, they also made an actual movie for it!
They are MUCH better known here in Europe, and every time they release a new album in Finland it goes to number 1 in the Finnish music charts, and usually ends up in the top 5 across the rest of Europe. As others have said, they have toured in most other continents, but its mainly the US that is still catching up, though obviously there have always been American fans. I think the US market is just so difficult to penetrate, especially for bands like NW that have such a unique sound, and as a result there is an entire genre of music, with bands similar to NW that have been around just as long that most Americans will never have heard of.
@@mikkolaine4883 It's the same here in Finland too though. Radio plays what the biggest record labels want them to. Evanescence is huge around the globe as well, so I don't see the comparison there.
Also. US radiostations are hard to persuade to play songs over 4 minutes. We all know how Tuomas thinks about that.... Al that Nightwish needes is 1 TV station with nationwide coverage paying some attention to a concert like Wacken 2013. The whole of US would be awake in an instant.
Actually, Nighwish are VERY famous. It depends on where you live, though. Here in Europe they got Gold and Platinum multiple times in several countries. But those are countries that are more open and accepting of genres like Heavy Metal and Gothic (stylewise). I remember, when I was a teen, songs like 'Nemo' and 'Wish I had an Angel' were played to death in the radio and TV in Germany. Pretty much each of their albums and many of their songs ended up in the top 10 here. That aside, about the fireworks: That was awesome. And as you may know, Wacken is in Germany. And here they are insanely strict about fireworks. Not only that you need a special permission to light fireworks (including having to pass a great number of regulations such as fire prevention measures) unless it's between December 31st and January 1st (I think it's even forbidden before 10pm), you can not buy them anywhere in the country except between December 29th and 31st each year. So, yeah, having fireworks at the end of a show, especially at a festival, is pretty special here. Also, I'd like to suggest another song from their the same tour, 'Weak Fantasy' live in Bravalla, Sveden (An amazing song from their last album and the first one with Floor, 'Endless forms most beautiful'). Brian, you had a look on your face halfway through that seemed to show you were very impressed? And why not? this is a fun song. So energetic and a very unusual chorus! Doesn't Floor look so happy at the end of the show. She has a million$ smile. The aim of the Nightwish army is to get the word out in the US. We don't have the audience for Symphonic metal over here. Our metal heads in the US seem to only want blazing double guitars. grinding riffs, and screaming male vocals. We need to wake up and try to see the whole picture, including a thing called dynamics. Pass the word. Great video B&S! Again. Peace out!
Great comment, as always! You guys are two of the very important US reactors on TH-cam that help expand Nightwish's fanbase throughout the US. I feel certain Nightwish will sell out more US venues in the upcoming tour because of that. They may even be able to book and sell out bigger venues than before. If not in this tour, they definitely will on the next one. Please, know that you had a big hand in making that possible, thanks to the fact that your and others reactions reached a lot more people who got to know Nightwish for the first time, making them, as well as yourselves, a fan in the process. Thank you both so much! Something else. I have 2 amazing recommendations I would love for you to react to, Dark Sarah and Blackbriar. Dark Sarah - a Finnish cinematic metal band created in 2012 by classical soprano Heidi Parviainen (formerly Amberian Dawn 2006 - 2012). When writing her first lyrics for the song Save Me, which is about a character named Sarah, who gets left at the altar by her fiancé, and runs off into the woods in tears, Heidi eventually decided to make a concept album which would be about the dark side of Sarah, hence the name of her project. All Dark Sarah albums are concept albums and are one continuous story about Sarah's life and adventures. The songs on the album are also in order of Sarah's timeline. These songs are meant to be seen as tongue-in-cheek and contain lots of (dark) humor. The music is nothing but amazing and Heidi's voice is one of the best I've ever heard. I'm fairly sure Stan will fall in love with Heidi's voice. 😉 The best songs imho are "Memories Fall" (featuring Manuela Kraller, formerly Haggard and Xandria) th-cam.com/video/3oP8wOi0ZZI/w-d-xo.html, "Save Me" th-cam.com/video/3wsHp6VsE6w/w-d-xo.html, "Dance With The Dragon" (featuring Juha-Pekka "JP" Leppäluoto, formerly Charon, currently Northern Kings) th-cam.com/video/dc3XcTcTjaw/w-d-xo.html, "Light In You" (featuring Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica) th-cam.com/video/yoYqjnDPaDg/w-d-xo.html and "A Grim Christmas Story" (This one is the most fun, a real must!) th-cam.com/video/JOZdI_EBBGc/w-d-xo.html. Blackbriar - a Dutch gothic rock/alternative metal band. They have released 3 EP's, 5 singles, 4 official music videos, and 3 acoustic live video's, and have performed alongside bands like Epica and MaYaN. Here are the links to the acoustic live versions of "Cry Of A Banshee" th-cam.com/video/M5wAuAZNG7o/w-d-xo.html and "Hear You Scream" th-cam.com/video/H5vhQLpx6ms/w-d-xo.html. Here are the links to the original music video's of "Until Eternity" th-cam.com/video/n9iAU3Vsz9Y/w-d-xo.html, "Snow White And Rose Red" (featuring Ulli Perhonen from Snow White Blood) th-cam.com/video/n9iAU3Vsz9Y/w-d-xo.html and the newly released "Mortal Remains" th-cam.com/video/hZUoiQIi1cs/w-d-xo.html.
As a Finnish I really think Nightwish would be one of the biggest bands in the world if it would be founded in the USA. But it's huge in Europe and South America so that's an accomplishment. :)
You want to know why they are not bigger? The Nightwish promoter for North America still uses an @AOL account. Also got to Rolling Stones magazine and search Nightwish. ZERO mentions.
Lol promoter's email account would be the most ridiculous reason why Nightwish is not bigger in the states. At least they get best of both worlds. Those more intimate 1000 people gigs and big 12 000 arenas. That's pretty rare to have both.
@@TheBandSShow That is true. Also they are not a major label artist which i don't mind because if someone is telling Tuomas what kinda music he has to make that would be the death of Nightwish.
Another BRILLANT Finnish Metal band you gotta check out is Wintersun. Try "Sons of Winter and Stars" and "Time", both from the live studio session @ Sonic Pump Studios. Jari Mäenpää, the band's mastermind, is an insanely gifted composer and right up there with all the great ones.
Cool reaction, I can your respect of this unique band - but your journey should continue. I can't see you have reacted to Nemo yet, so!! And the celtic stuff like My Walden, and Alpenglow from Wembley or Tampere 🤘🤘
Have you guys already listened Ave Maria by Marco Hietala and Floor Jansen? The christmas is coming so it would be nice to see your reaction...Happy christmas to you 🎅💜
Liked your girlish screams in the end. Oops, sorry - it was the Mexican girl. Floor looked like a girl in an amusement park in the end. And such a blast for the audience with the last song.
Watch the whole concert man, and Im assuring you, you will cry when they will sing this song cause you know tou yourself you don't want this concert come to an end
Here in the US they try to shove the pop stuff down our throats instead of promoting what's actually good. It's hard to discover a group if the radio stations won't play it. I got lucky and ran into a forum post somewhere recommending Nightwish as a group to check out. Blew my mind the first time I heard them. That was End of an Era with Tarja.👍💯
It's clear you guys are doing a lot of Nightwish homework, you might need to see a few of the oldies too. You did Phantom of the Opera with Tarja, But they had some other classics with her as well. Pharoh Sails to Orion, Walking in the Air, or Beauty and the Beast. Which to my knowledge, they haven't had Floor do yet. You can appreciate both of them. Floor is a Valkyrie goddess, Tarja had the voice of an angel.
Symphonic metal is not the most popular genre in the metal world, but Nightwish is very very recognized and in the last years they pupularity has grown even more. Tuomas put Floor as the new singer It was the perfect combo they are better than ever 😎
Every song is a closer or a ride..truer words you have never spoken about Nightwish. This band is an insane draw in South America, Europe and to a lesser extent in the rest of Asia. North America is a waste land so far for symphonic metal but thanks to YT and the Nightwish army we are changing that. Hopefully the 2020 albums songs and the tour will translate into bigger venues here in the US and Canada, Mexico is like the rest of South America but we are still stuck with the auto-tuned, software driven studio creation lip sync stuff from the labels here. Real musicians and real vocalists are not a priority and with AI and VR the next step will be holographic concerts that are completely created in the studio. The experience of a LIVE performance I hope will never fade (I have been to many great concerts since the late 60's and wouldn't trade one of them for a VR/Holographic show ever). Anyway, enough ranting great reaction as always men and now you can move onto End of the Era, Wembley and Tampere for the other great LIVE performances. BTW you think Floor and the band were pumped for this finale, they looked like they could keep going for another hour if they let them.
@@TheBandSShow while i'm not sure it was a part of this show, My Walden is a good one from Tampere 2015. actually the entire concert is amazing and worth a listen. there are some songs on that list that you haven't reacted to. Hope to see more nightwish!
I Want My Tears Back is also a great one from Wacken 2013 they haven't checked out yet. As great show as Wacken 2013 was, I still think Tampere 2015 was better. But that's mostly because of the songs they played (EFMB is my fav album from them). Nemo is still a true classic though.
Hey Brian and Stan - really love your reactions and your musical appreciation. There is a little known song of Nightwish that I reckon you guys would love. It is called Saraha and here is the link to the live performance at Tampa th-cam.com/video/lTvYfLa4Wlk/w-d-xo.html
Most of the symphonic bands are from Europe. Evanescence brought it to the US at least in part. If you like the genre a couple other favorites that have been around a while are Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation. WT is on tour right now with evanescence.👍
Can you guys react to studio versions of older Nightwish Songs with Tarja singing. So you can get more perspective to the older style of this band. Too bad there isn't many live songs that you can react to. My small suggestion try Wishmaster - Deep Silent Complete
yes, the era with tarja was great .. but is over. and today many fans old as new prefer Nightwish with floor over tarja. with Floor they are on a higher level 🙌🙌🙌
About the sound of your video's, i can remember video's from you guys where we can here the original sound of the video, with your voices mixed in. This one you are recording the sound of the original video over the speakers in your own studio, am i wright? This is not so nice as the first option. ;-)
You all need to check out Within Temptation Angels th-cam.com/video/VK9qfVQ4Z04/w-d-xo.html it's a really good song. They are another symphonic metal band. I absolutely adore their Black Symphony tour. Right now they are preparing to go on tour with Evanescence. I can't wait for that one. But they are really good and I think you guys will enjoy them.

Now when I think about it, I saw them three weeks before this Wacken concert.
Please learn the setlist in 48 hours. Do reaction to that documentary from Nightwish
The best songs imho are "Memories Fall" (featuring Manuela Kraller, formerly Haggard and Xandria) th-cam.com/video/3oP8wOi0ZZI/w-d-xo.html, "Save Me" th-cam.com/video/3wsHp6VsE6w/w-d-xo.html, "Dance With The Dragon" (featuring Juha-Pekka "JP" Leppäluoto, formerly Charon, currently Northern Kings) th-cam.com/video/dc3XcTcTjaw/w-d-xo.html, "Light In You" (featuring Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica) th-cam.com/video/yoYqjnDPaDg/w-d-xo.html and "A Grim Christmas Story" (This one is the most fun, a real must!) th-cam.com/video/JOZdI_EBBGc/w-d-xo.html.
Here's the link to the official lyric version of "Preserved Roses" th-cam.com/video/6V3RliuDbZM/w-d-xo.html.
ZERO mentions.
lol sounds like we'd be a better promoter for them.
Lol promoter's email account would be the most ridiculous reason why Nightwish is not bigger in the states. At least they get best of both worlds. Those more intimate 1000 people gigs and big 12 000 arenas. That's pretty rare to have both.
LEKAlla there are a lot of ineffective marketers
@@TheBandSShow That is true. Also they are not a major label artist which i don't mind because if someone is telling Tuomas what kinda music he has to make that would be the death of Nightwish.
Another BRILLANT Finnish Metal band you gotta check out is Wintersun. Try "Sons of Winter and Stars" and "Time", both from the live studio session @ Sonic Pump Studios. Jari Mäenpää, the band's mastermind, is an insanely gifted composer and right up there with all the great ones.
Hey guys. Hope yall had a great weekend.
Hey guys ! Where did you go, there are lots of NW music to watch. Come back !
Cool reaction, I can your respect of this unique band - but your journey should continue. I can't see you have reacted to Nemo yet, so!!
And the celtic stuff like My Walden, and Alpenglow from Wembley or Tampere 🤘🤘
"Marco Hietala - Stones" - it is still fresh of the shelves.
Have you guys already listened Ave Maria by Marco Hietala and Floor Jansen? The christmas is coming so it would be nice to see your reaction...Happy christmas to you 🎅💜
My son and I just saw Sabaton with Hammerfall. I wish I had the money because we would travel to Wacken.
Yes! Windmills!!! Lol...
Slaying the Dreamer from End of an Era concert.... PLEASE!!!!!
So cool. Thx.
Nightwish+Floor Match made in Metal/Music heaven by GOD*S !!
"alpenglow" or "my walden" next
Final song of the greatest live concert ever recorded 🤘
Symphonic metal is not the most popular genre in the metal world, but
Nightwish is very very recognized
and in the last years
they pupularity has grown even more.
Tuomas put Floor as the new singer
It was the perfect combo
they are better than ever 😎
Nice to hear your screams of joy in the end. Oops, sorry - it was that Mexican girl-
You’re still haven’t done Nemo from this show.
Dang it!
.....and She is my sin!
Nemo is still a true classic though.
no it wasnt part of Wacken, and yes it is wonderfull :)
Love you ❤❤❤
Hey Brian and Stan - really love your reactions and your musical appreciation. There is a little known song of Nightwish that I reckon you guys would love. It is called Saraha and here is the link to the live performance at Tampa th-cam.com/video/lTvYfLa4Wlk/w-d-xo.html
Hello hear phantom of the opera and wish I had an ángel in tarja turunen Live DVD 2005 end of antes era.
Most of the symphonic bands are from Europe. Evanescence brought it to the US at least in part. If you like the genre a couple other favorites that have been around a while are Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation. WT is on tour right now with evanescence.👍
Think Nightwish in SUPERBOWL !!!
Speaking of checking out a good band, have you tried In This Moment? Maria Brink is something else.
I even drink water in her name!!!
time for some Christmas ! react to this one ''Raskasta Joulua - Oi Jouluyö - Floor Jansen" it's in Finnish and a special yoy for Stan!

Pleeeeease! ibeg you Tuomas, bring the old valkyrie back to her metallic and classical sound

💖
Hello therion birth of Venus illegitima , álbum vovin 1998
About the sound of your video's, i can remember video's from you guys where we can here the original sound of the video, with your voices mixed in. This one you are recording the sound of the original video over the speakers in your own studio, am i wright? This is not so nice as the first option. ;-)
We live in every monent but this one
Why don't we recognize the faces loving us so
You still havent done Amaranth and Nemo. :)
Buen video.
What?
Thank you!
great reaction guys.just wondering if you lost interest in jinjer
NOT AT ALL. You just would hate to see our freakin backlog.
Try beast in black- blind and frozen. Another band from finland i believe
I Forgot... react the entire End of an Era.... lot of old (new for you) songs
Excelent!! React to: Insomnium - Valediction
I mean de video
I thought the other day that this is probably how most Europeans learn English.

Can you react to king l g never sell my soul thanks
composer Tuomas Holopainen
