They literally were saying the map is going to be more casual friendly. Not every map needs to have some lengthy EE or even be a large map. Smaller maps can be just as fun, especially for the casual player (majority of BO6 zombies players). Those people just aren't the ones running to youtube or tiktok to complain cause they're casual and don't care that deeply about a perfect experience.
I don’t mind if The Tomb and The Mansion end up both being small maps if it means that Janus Towers ends up being absolutely huge - it looks colossal in Liberty Falls, and I can only imagine how complex it’ll be if we have zip lines interweaving all three towers.
When the tomb got announced it was coming as soon as season 2 i was hoping that it wasn't being rushed out early due to the down state of BO6/Warzone. After playing the map a good bit I think this might be the case from the lack of intro, no character dialog about the map or in the end cutscene, the png like sky box in the aether area, the boss fight.
My thoughts: -I think choosing the Ice Staff as the map's featured WW was a significant misstep. It's disappointing that the map didn't come with a new WW, the base staff is terrible, and I don't find the processes for crafting and upgrading it to be fun. They should have either brought back all 4 staffs or made a new WW, preferably the latter. If they wanted to pay tribute to Origins, I think a better approach would've been to make a brand new staff that just takes a bit of inspiration from the old ones. -Bringing back the Mimic means this map has 2 different enemy types with grab-attacks and I can see that getting old very quickly. -2 major elements of the map are recycled from older games (Mimic and Ice Staff) which is concerning for the future of BO6. -I have never liked when the PAP moves, it should be stationary either in the spot where QR is or in the spot where you craft the Ice Staff. -I think the layout is weirdly cluttered in certain areas like spawn, the area where QR is, and in the Dark Aether. -To say one positive thing, it looks pretty nice especially in the Dark Aether.
honestly, the biggest thing that rubs me the wrong way is that they ONLY brought back the ice staff. it's like the devs just knew that was the best one from origins so they only bothered to bring it back and they let people get it from THE BOX lmao 😭 like citadelle proved they can do elemental wonder weapons so why would you not just include all the staves??? it makes zero sense to me
I’m still enjoying the game. The Tomb compared to Citadel is underwhelming however I don’t think it was Treyarch’s plan to make it as good as the previous map. Having a “filler map” I think is good. I personally prefer this as I’m a causal Zombies player who grinds a camos and rounds I’ll complete the EE and be done with it. I like to think this gives them the opportunity to take their time and design the next experience on the levels of Citadel.
It's a solid map feels like a filler map and they should have done like a dark staff or something instead of the ice but overall I had fun doing the Easter egg terminus and citidel way better

I just realized how easy it would have been for me to play Liberty Balls to grind levels, weapons and BP instead of the trash ass MP. I think it is a good mode but I have not tried the newer maps, either way Lag Ops 6 sucks ass
The 1# glazer of bo6 finally notices the issues with the game?? He talked about all the core issues with Cold War and what bo6 was obviously goin to be but when the game came out he glazed it to the max.
Let me be more specific, the maps are more or less the same layout. Just bigger or smaller, I can't help but feel I've played this map already and it's boring.

Both those maps are mid af. Haven't even played Tomb yet bt im pretty it's mid also. BO6 feels like a chore to play. Been back on BO3 having a blast

so right now there is a Voice Acter Strike happening. this is why our characters do not have any lines

The last 3 maps all have the same exactly symmetrical layout and aesthetics. It's the same map remixed over and over and over. Its just mid man. Mid.
