I cant believe they made negativa a stance, this is PERFECT capoeira wise. The bananeira/handstand also looks like an actual capoeira handstand now and you can even use it to dodge like you’d commonly do in a roda!
Super hyped about the changes made and thankful a capoeira instructor gave actual gameplay insights on how to translate capoeira to a movelist in an even more refined way than before. eddy was already the best implementation of capoeira by a long shot in any fighting game and im excited to see the changes, they look amazing!
I can't stand fighting him, but seeing you appreciating the details like that is pretty cool, good for you!

i'm worried about his handstands because people can just use heat burst attack to spike eddy to the ground and get a free combo out of it.
@@syaredzaashrafi1101 bruh im not feeling it either on top of that now he has less reach with it as well its like hes leg got shorter in his spin attack with just that one leg,i perfer his og fighting style over this new one and i rather have his relex stance on his back ,his new relax stsnce would be good in ah side step but not to replace is on back stance, this makes me worried if they would change bruce irvins fighting style if he drops

i hope so. one thing i worried about Eddy is that he's very vulnerable during hand stands.
so if Eddy was trying to pressure opponent during hand stands, people can just enter heat burst and splat eddy on the ground and probably get a free combo out of it

I play with Eddy Gordo since Tekken 3, I practice Capoeira, really loved his new moves.
One question: do you practice capoeira before or after playing Tekken 3?
Another question: if the answer to the previous question was "after", then did you start practicing capoeira thanks to Eddy Gordo?
@@jeffersonrooneyI'm also a capoeirista and main Eddy since Tekken 3, I started capoeira because of Eddy. Despite being Brazilian, I didn't know capoeira before Eddy (I was 6 years old).

As a Capoeirista for 20 years and knowing Eddie since his start in Tekken 3, I am completely delighted, the movements look more realistic than before and are made as if they were used in a real Roda. The Ginga is beautiful and perfect, the Negativa is done to perfection down to how the fingers are positioned. I see it and it makes me want to train
and I hope they correct the sh1t at the end of Tekken 7, Eddie and Christie brought a tremendous story... and they come to insult us with that sh1t at the end of T7

@CANADAKRUSH1 I'm pretty sure Murray did all the move name translations. He's proud of naming a few that he said in an interview like Jin's "Savage Sword"

i don't like his standing dance animation i think it was better in previous games, everything else is sick tho, Eddy is my 2nd main
It’s more body realistic
The bouncy feet of the old animation is more of a stylistic thing you see in performances. This is what capoeira footwork looks like when you use it to fight.
he's "gingando" (doing "ginga), it's impossible to fight capoeira without this stance
his new ginga looks very rigid. his ginga from tekken 7 looked like he had more rhythm and flow. some of the animations look pretty good but a lot of these animations just feel like they have less personality than the OG ones.
kinda reminds me of marc damascus in only the strong. too much of his previous martial arts training came through in his movements and it didn’t look as much like authentic capoeira.

It really is more similar to real Capoeira, faster, more aggressive and more unpredictable, the bat's flight now seems to be average.

Tekken should have got Lateef Crowder for the motion capture, i mean Eddy Gordo was created off of Lateef Crowder to begin with.
It was created based on master Marcelo Caverinha not Lateef

Seeing Eddie evolve into this is fantastic. They did him justice, which should be, as there are no other capoera based character in FGs that's better than Eddie Gordo. Is the best capo fighter in games eversince, apart from maybe christie monteiro.
