Adding bracing would be the best bet long term for this type of box and the chambering . Taking into consideration the weight of the speakers the sound pressure and the fact they will be shifting a lot while the vehicle is moving. Subs can share the same chamber but the subs have to oriented correctly as you don’t want the speaker to be out of phase making them work against each other. For your point on having 8 vs 4 18 inch subs, you always want go with what the manufacturer says the box parameters should be as they have tested it for optimum performance. More is not better as you could run 15s or even 12s and get a higher DB level than the 8 18s. If you want to go with 8 18s then it will still play well but it will be more of SPL build vs SQ.

you need to build a advertisement small sound in the crv and have more time to do things with the big sound. i know easier said than done but you can do it.

Me did a plan to use one a them little bus deh for a mobile AC service, but I noticed that them little bus deh don't have much power to move
