  • This is just one of "those" projects....it's going to take a while to make any progress. Ugh.

Love it! I had the same Scout '79 Rallye (Mustard Yellow) for years. Keep up the great work, it's going to be amazing!

I am really glad I stumble across this project to get me back into gear working on my '76. As to the never ending project comment you guys are making progress in leaps and bounds, good on you guys for that! Mine has been a start, stop project going on 13 or 14 years. Had two kids and that time frame and the Scout took a back seat as to be expected, but now the kids want to be involved in the restore so we are starting it back up. So again thank you for the motivation and good work!

That’s awesome the kids wanna be involved. The next generation of gear heads. Good luck with your 76 project. We’re hoping to make steady progress. Any progress is progress right?

I say paint that piece of the dash yellow like your Scout. It’s coming along great.
I’ve been at my Scout now for 3 years. Thanks again for the flares

I think you should retain the classy wood grain appliqué on the dash….because ’70’s’

Another option is cover it with vinyl that looks like carbon fiber.
