He had asked the empress would things be different if he had married her instead of the emperor? My opinion is the result will be the same. He will die because of his obssession to capture the throne and his attempt to assassiinate the emperor. She will die too for having an affair with the emperor's brother. I feel sad for the ninth prince. He was so loyal to one woman but that love did not bear any fruits. It only brings him a lot of pain in the end.

The producers so very cleverly packaged such a complicated story with deep meanings into a parody to make it enjoyable rather than dry. So many people do so many things in the name of love. I personally do not believe that love should ever drive anyone to do anything so cowardly, particularly not something as cowardly as colluding with the enemy which could have resulted in destroying the empire, killing his own grandmother, and all the innocent people, including his friend’s father, brothers and wife. To me, that kind of cowardly act is more akin to greed and envy, like what possessed Prince Qi in Oh, My General.
He lookes more thinner and fit here than the drama oh my general.... Lol guess he got a little plumper since this drama 😝 still he's hot in all his roles
