You could just make it out of a single strand, at the end just make the king knot in the opposit direction.

I suppose you need to make the initial cobra a bit looser to take into consideration the 2nd layer, i.e. king cobra addition, as it would take up space.

Honor T.N.B.K you can buy paracord pretty much anywhere online or in stores, just make sure you don't get it at hobby lobby their prices are ridiculously high. If you have an Army surplus story near you they may have some paracord for cheap.
