  • There are very specific reasons. Generally I advocate for body protectors for the smallest of riders, but learn what goes into my recommendations.

    Can you elaborate what age you are referring to? I have a 12 year old riding who is over the weight requirements. Would you still not recommend based on your comments in the video? Just trying to get all my facts together as you raise good points (a non-horse mom here).

      Hi Ashley! First and foremost, it’s a combination of the child’s measurements and the size of the horse/pony she or he is riding. They need to be in a vest that fits appropriately and also a vest that offers a short lanyard option if they are riding a smaller pony so that the vest triggers quickly enough so that the vest fully inflates before the rider reaches the ground.
