I live in Canada but I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have a very enchanting and magical memory of going to church with many people attending mass before morning, when it was still dark. After the mass there was a man who was selling taho. Me and my family bought some taho and it was absolutely delicious and perfect. The warm, holy lights of the church glowing, the moon shining on us while we ate taho from a transparent plastic cup. I will always thank God for the experience. Also, here in Canada, you can buy preprepared taho ingredients like the tofu, black sauce, and the pearls, but you have to put them together yourself. They taste quite nice, but it's not as great the taho in the streets of the Philippines, I'm convinced that the taho vendors have some kind of magic that makes their taho great.
i’m filipino but live in the U.S. but my dad always got taho when we would visit the philippines and tbh i was scared to try it, but watching all these videos of them making it are satisfying and makes me want to try it next time i go there.
tesla model x p100d you should try it. i’m also a filipino living in the U.S. and i was also scared to try it when i first went to the philippines because i thought it wasn’t clean but my dad told me it was clean and i woke up everyday at 5 am for 2 weeks just to catch the guy selling it lol
Gosh I love my people and my culture so much. I was 9 when I came to the U.S and now I’m 24 and I can’t wait for the day I get to go back home and try some taho again, for now I can only dream😊
This reminds me of my childhood when I still live in the Philippines. My grandma would always get me this every morning before school. RIP grandma those were the best memories I've had. I live in America now but I will always cherish my memories in Philippines.
Wow magandang Kainin Yan sa Umaga Ang sarap kaya niyan Taho is my favorite nung Bata pa ako kaya marami maka relate dyan magandang Negosyo Yan lalo na sa panahon Ng pandemic at kailangan natin Ng pagkakitaan.
I'm sure he did at the very end, but the camera guy cut it short.... all children are taught to respect their elders, and even adult when addressing their elders, or someone they don't know personally... "Po" is one of the most used words, if not THE most, or maybe a close tie with "opo" which means yes in the formal, or "oo" for informal.
@@rundowntheopp8236 you don't know that he didn't say "salamat po" because the camera guy didn't show until the end. So don't accuse the kid of being disrespectful.
When I go back to the Philippines to visit I'm hiring a taho man and fish ball cart to feed the neighborhood kids it was my favorite growing up in Makati. I can't wait!!
I can’t believe me missing home have lead me to looking up Filipino food videos online but I’m glad it did! Just wondering where do you find the places you eat at?
I love Taho!! I get it at Chow King here in the US. Never been to the Philippines but when I go, trying the street version of this is on my TO DO list.
Also the best Taho are from legendary old Taho vendors that have been there since you were born. Better than any Taho from the malls even and often outside the school or other establishments
In the states, they call those sago.....tapioca, popular in california, I dont know about other states tho. Boy , the last time I was in the filipens was in '85, they only have the Brown syrup then, maybe I need to visit again.thank you for the vids.
Yes. However Sago is primarily from palm fruit stems, and Tapioca from cassava root. But the words can be used interchangeably in the Philippines and others too.
