I own the 3 door version. It's spactacular! Sadly it doesn't meet the strict US standard vehicle laws to be imported there. You're missing out the fun :(

Sub'ed But at 7:30, you changed to low range while moving? :O that's not good for the transfer case, as stated in the manual book, the vehicle must come to a complete stop to engage low/high gear. I own the 3 door version, MUCH better for my daily driving and weekend off-roading :D I also fitted a mechanically locking rear differencial it's a beast! Thanks :D
Capability, utility, and reliability of most Russian machinery and equipment at such low price point is unmatchable. No wonder they’ve been forbidden to compete in capitalist consumer markets.
An easy mod Lada should do at factory, is to split the hat shelf in two pieces, so it can fold for easier access to the trunk. Some more hp would be nice, small increase 30% or so. It be Perfect imo.
If you turn the wheels the other way before you come to a stop, you can turn around more quickly and save wear and tear on the tyres and steering components!

Interesting. Looking for a working car for beekeeping in rural Hungary and want something simple. It's come down to this or the Dacia petrol Duster. Everything else is quite old and very expensive. Wondering whether the newer Lada would be considered unsafe without airbags? Does it disintegrate in an accident like a Land Rover Defender? Won't really be going on motorways, and it doesn't go that fast anyway!

I bought lada urban from rymco lebanon and it did not start the engine for power failier for more than five times each time the company which is Rymco says they fix the problem. It always get worst and they have no idea to trouble shoot or correct the problem. They offered it for 14000 usd, they say it has these problems and i should not complain. B3side other problem in brakes and others.....
No i didnot. The problem was that The battery was died. There is an electrical problem the dealer is never able to solve. I needed to recharge the battery so the engine can start.

Too little, too late. G class evolved from 1970 before it got redesigned. It was a vastly better car before the 2018 redesign. Lada? Zero evolution. Its the same car. New bumpers. Worst part is the engine and rear aluminum drums. Lada has so many other engines, why is this the only motor? Why is Lada still using those terrible rear alloy drums that lock and cause ladas to slide and crash in all russian crash videos?

Ricsi bacsi You are ridiculous!!!! A duster is 20 times safer than a 4x4. Lada is UNSAFE. Its a 1970s car with zero structural upgrades.
