Mount is the solution. Would never have dropped Zirkzee. The patient approach would've worked better in the second half. Them going for it. Us with a good balance between directness and controling the ball.

Mount must replace Bruno. Bruno loses possession all the time, smashes Hollywood balls, misses chances and just reduces the ability of the side to keep the ball. He has been a wonderful player but we need to move on.
If Zirkzee gets injured and no goal scored, we will be saying the same thing. I rather the long term game.

Should’ve won this one, good to see Rasmus back on the field. I’m still not convinced about the defense, it’s too open. Our attack is against 2-3 of theirs while it’s always one on one on our side. A better team would’ve scored against us.
Rasmus entered the match and didn't register a single shot. This isn't an anomaly Hs has long lost of premier leauge games with 0 shots on target. The fact that after introducing him for the much derided zirzkee the team created one chance for the remainder of the game
You have to be open to overload the other side of the pitch. If you may say we need to work on our recovery, then that is it... and we were open bcoz Bruno Fucked it up all the time.

When Amad, Zirkzee and Eriksen came off, the creativity we had throughout the game dropped massively. Bruno is supposed to be the creator, the one who is supposed to play those balls in behind. But this game, Bruno wasn't creating anything, he was loosing the ball 90% of the time he had the ball. Bringing off all of our creative players was what killed us. Rashford, Hojlund and Amad couldve been MUCH better if your atleast going to be keeping one of eriksen amad and zirkzee ok
It would be interesting to see either Mount or Zirkzee replace Bruno in his position for a few matches. With Hojund at 9. Bruno has some incredible moments. But he loses possession an awful lot. Lacks physical presence as well.
Agreed. Bruno has been aweful. Loses possession all the time, his shooting has been poor, constant Hollywood balls. I want him dropped for Mount.

@mm2801 The jury is still out. I have a feeling he is a player who develops later in his career but we are not a mid table club that can wait for a player to develop over 4 or 5 years. We overpaid for him which is why we are resting so much hope on him. I like him, I like the fact he scored off of very little service last year and I have hope he avoids more injuries and clicks into gear. I won't condemn him yet.

He doesn't have the intelligence or the fundamentals to make an impact at this level the numbers speak for themselves. If he had even decent movement and was wasting chances I would have more reason to hope but he doesn't even get himself into positions to score. He's rubbish I'm sorry.
Bruno had a poor game and honestly think I’ve been proven right in not wanting Garnacho to start he’s not mature enough yet in my opinion has to be more clinical especially with an xg of 0.4. Bruno has to score and ten hag needs time to work on the team on how to attack and exploit weaknesses against the way palace played in the second half. We looked hopeless second half but the first half was amazing and have to score in order to get back to the top level but still numerous positives to take from the match. Erik did an amazing job at utilising the most of eriksen yet covering his weaknesses with inverted wingbacks. We go again

I feel ten hag dropped rashford because he never tracks back to help his lb, we saw how Munoz was always bombing forward every chance he got if rashford had started there would have been an overload in that wing like we saw against Southampton.
@@raphealgerald1614rashford came on after they neutralised that problem where they were constantly conceding chances from. If u start rashford and he gets the chances Garnacho got in the first half( let’s not forget Rashfords decent off ball movement) he converts one of those misses

Taking zirkzee off and keeping bruno on and not taking garnacho off for rashford killed this game. I love bruno and garna but bruno has been off it for a few games now and he just gets more and more frustrating as this happens and will only improve when dropped for zirkzee. Why not put zirkzee hojlund combo.
As for Garnacho, his decision making is still pretty average and needs improving so why not cahneg with him an in form winger in rashford.
Also mount for mainoo for the last 20-30 min is needed for the energy and aggressiveness in press. A midfield of ugarte mount and zirkzee with hojlund in front can bode well for the team in last 30 min. Also we have casemiro who can do the midgield job fotlr the ladt mins. Ten Hag's subs need to improve for the season to imlrove

Our goalie made saves aswell! We would win every game on paper if you ignore all the chances of the opponent. We controlled most of the game but Palace, who are bang average, could have won it.
After Erickson, Zirkzee and Amad were replaced, Bruno started to dominate most of the attacking passes like most games in the previous season. Even an idiot can see that we were no longer able to control the game as in the first half.
He is an expert of losing ball possession. Really lucky we did not lose the game finally.
When our opponents defend in low block, Bruno and Rashford could do almost nothing. It has been proved in more than 100 matches.

Not horrible. Glad we did not lose. My observation is that our team has no idea how to play a one touch pass. If we are just going to dink and dunk in the opponents half we will never find space to score. They have so much time to just reset the defense. Our best option in this game was to play passes over the top and hope to get lucky. We should have just done this all game considering what we are currently working with.
Ten Hag needs to get our players thinking about where the next pass goes before the initial pass is made. If the defense collapses on the player about to receive, one touch it right back to the initial passer who again is thinking about who the next pass goes to. The opposition will get pulled out of its shape and we will have looks at goal. I assume this will take at least a season of progression to get down. I would like to see some progress particularly in games like this where we know we will hold so much possession.
Good idea to play Mainoo and Eriksen considering the opposition had no teeth and Eriksen can play that pass over the top. But we did not go to it nearly enough. Also I think it is clear that Rashford should start. He was not as effective as Garnacho coming on and Garnacho did not have the legs to out speed the opposition at the end of the game when we needed it.
Bruno was the only issue besides not taking chances. You guys want the manager to rotate but hate how he does it. 😂😂

Start of the second half i said take off Bruno and bring on Hojland, and zirkzee play as a 10.
In the end, the type of midfielder we need to eventually replace, is a deep lying playmaker like Eriksen.

This is the most complete we have looked under Ten Hag but that in itself is kind of concerning to me bc a big reason for that is Eriksen. He should not be relied upon like he is now since his legs have gone and he can’t play every game.
Would have love for us to bring another CM in the Eriksen mould but younger and more agile.

Spot on about the subs. Brought the right ones on but took the wrong ones off. Not the first time either.
Bruno needs competition to get the best out of him. I think concentration is an issue for him, he's literally got the talent to hit any pass and sxore sny goal in any position. As captain he's undroppable, which is a problem for an attacking player. They need to be kept on their toes. This isn't a problem for KDB (unfortunately).

We want to be harder to beat & control games better by 4.3.3. - this is why we're missing 'Pogba' type midfielders e.g. Rabiot, Fofana etc... can protect the ball better cos Bruno is the wrong type of player that can vary the pace of the game so we've prepare to replace Bruno next!
Due a poor start, we still expect minimum 4th place & some cups this season!

I've seen people comment play Bruno in the pivot !!!!! Bruno just doesn't keep the ball well at all. Everything Bruno does feels rushed. Bruno tries to create a through ball even when it's not on. ETH should try Mount or Zirkzee at 10, both keep the ball better and both are very creative. Bruno is 30 years-old he will need replacing, i think ineos will want to make money on players who are older like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich do. Bruno still has value and United need a striker badly.

i have been saying it and will continue to say. bruno and rashford don't suit our current play style. if we want to dominate possession and be a attacking threat consistently then these two need to be dropped from the squad. it is difficult to digest the fact that manchester United's no 10 and captain can't keep the ball or make a decent pass even if his life depended on it. he always seems to be in hurry to release the ball within a second and constantly kills any good attack that we make. we have given bumper contracts to the two players that we should consider offloading. this is why we have been failing for the last 10 years.
Zirkzee needs Ruud to improve his offensive part of his game cos it's not good enough, his body language is 'too casual' he needs to up his focus, fitness, conditioning & sharpness to be a regular in this team!
No 'Shin Pads' that an issue to the fanbase. The manager should tell Zirkzee 'No Pads No Play' this is where We think this Coach cos he's not a manager is been careless & not protecting the players.
Capt. Bruno has to play as an disciplined 8 to stay in the team to benefit Zirkzee otherwise drop Bruno & replace him with Mainoo!
We expect top 4 minimum with this squad nothing less!

Think we would've been outrun alot if Eriksen stayed on that pitch. Palace was getting more and more momentum. Think it was the right decision to swap in Rashford and Højlund eventually. Wish Amad could've stayed on tho. But with the players that did get onto to pitch in the end. How would you expect us to create the chances needed to win the game?

He has lost possession continually. Poor decisions, Hollywood balls and poor shooting every game. For all of his creativity he is a liability for a side who wants to dominate the ball. He's been a great player but he does not suit our desire to control games.

I hear you United need a striker badly but they needed to sort the back 4 out first. A defensive midfielder was needed as well. Buying a quality striker would have taken most of the budget which would have left United playing Maguire and Casemiro every week. I think a striker will be next summer or this January.

case erikson and ugarte. Creativity Intelligence experience and physicality with ugarte bringing industry. That's the way to go. Them 3 wont get over run as they can cover the spaces well has the energy from ugarte and combativeness of casemiro but the midfield structure wild be more compact without bruno vacating the midfield and also not wasting possession
False bruno doesn't "usually do it" his passing statistics speak for themselves over the last 3 season with bruno being the main creator with total freedom he's averaging just over 7 assist in the league each season. He always plays this poorly his fans point to G/A but the juice doesn't justify the squeeze. His high risk low reward brand of football only impresses in highlights.
We make 5 big chances because we have Bruno. He'll leave and all you guys will realise the good things don't happen without him.
A dominant display and very little reward. That was one of Ten Hags best displays in an away match but how long are we going to go on talking about positive signs with little tangible progress. This was only Palace after all. What will we talk about when we face a top 6 or even top 8 side?
We want to be challenging for the league & Europa league this season but EtH is a moments manager & lacks people skills to take charge of our club.

All this talk of our best half of football is hyperbole. We dominated possession yet the best chance of the half fell to EZE who received the ball from a cut back free in the box with no defenders around and fired at the keeper with the whole goal to aim at. This was also the case in the 2nd half with again the best chance falling for palace. The manger is at fault for the result; the starting line up and then debilitating subs. The facts are garnacho is simply not as effective starting games, the chances he missed are expected when you consider his average technique and poor composure. The subs killed us taking of our only real creative and technically secure players and replacing them with runners is ridiculous. Only one chance coming after removing our attacking glue zrkzee. Rashford (the original garnacho) No impact. Hojland( apparently a top young striker) Not a single shot. NO impact . Urgate ( Energy and running) with casemiro left on the bench.
Its also quite amusing so many people critizeing bruno performance as if this is a new trend this is bruno! if he doesn't or does get G/A this is a typical performance a hindrance to our overall play. HE IS A ENEMY OF FOOTBALL
