Very good video , Mike!! Sometimes a dictionary is not the best source ..Wordreference is my favorite one and the section in “Forum discussions” is the best. None of the verbs you mention in the first part of this video sound familiar to me and I’ve been teaching English for over three decades so…👍 The expressions you mention later are the ones I’ve been teaching my students.

I want her to be given a piece of cake bz i like and adore her . He's worthy of being adored and respected for having shown great courage to fish a drowning kid out of the pond . Some words are really confusing . I think in colloquial English , we should not use uncommon words .
"Adorer = aimer beaucoup, c' est un verbe français en fait. Détester = haïr, verbe français également". Adore ,french verbe in fact it' s mean like bery mach. Détester, in french it's mean to hate ..
