- Richard Heuer of Star, Mississippi, (Faith Hill's hometown) suffered life changing injuries in a freak accident involving his motorcycle and a deer on the way to work in August 2008. The accident left him paralyzed from the neck down. He and his wife Wendy and two boys, Aaron and Justin live in a small home that is not suited for their current situation. This video tells their story. We hope you will be blessed by the extraordinary faith and courage of this remarkable family. A Sunday school class at Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl, Mississippi has been led by the Lord to build a new home for the Heuer family. This video touched me. I'm 18 years old and last week my mom who is only 43 yrs old started having seizures & bleeding/swelling in her brain, they still aren't sure as to why it happened or anything but they are leaning towards a rare disease called Pres Syndrome. I haven't heard her voice in a wk bc of the tubes but now they are also thinking that she has had a stroke. She's also paralyzed from the neck down. She has faith in God though and it is going to help us. Please pray for us.
i always have to wonder if god could provide all that help then why couldn't he just stop the injury in the first place
Or heal it afterwards. It seems the doctors and rehab crew have done the most help, unsurprisingly using the knowledge they learned that was discovered scientifically.

you can do it without god... i know several people who have. You do everything for yourself, religion doesent do it for you or make it any easier.... only people who tell themselves that will believe it. I live religion free and jesus free and have a great, happy, successful and wonderful life. its all about you, not some notion of being judged at the end.
I'm very inspired by the strength of this man and his family. But the imaginary friend in the sky had nothing to do with this accident. Better to be knowest: their is still zero proof of god, souls, spirits or life after death....its all IMAGINARY
Let me also share thou that they said at first she wouldn't make it but we saw a God sized miracle happen. She is now responding by nodding her head yes and no and hopefully she'll be able to talk when the tubes are out. Without a doubt though, she is here for a reason, God has a plan for her, just like he does with him.
No disrespect but what is this crap about god's purpose in all this.. shit happens, this guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It sucks. There was no plan by "god" to test his faith or some other horseshit. However, if he can find strength and be positive then more power to him. I would just want to give up and not be a burden on others.
Have you ever helped someone less fortunate or been diagnosed with an illness yourself? Whatever end of the spectrum of need you are on, you'll learn the blessings of unselfish human kindness. Giving it is a blessing and receiving it is also a blessing. Without bad things there would be no opportunity to be enriched in this way. Mr. Heuer's accident allowed a lot of people to experience and learn what it was to give unconditionally. I've been on both sides of giving and receiving and I am grateful for both.
