I like the design approach, this jet will roll out as a 4.5 generation fighter but from what I've read by the third or fourth upgrade cycle it will eventually have weapons stored in internal bays and with avionics improvements it will become a 5th generation fighter over time, also geometry looks good for stealth like a mini raptor.
In Peru there is a lot of interest on the part of the air force to have these important aircraft, just as there was an agreement and the assembly of the Korean KTP1 training aircraft was carried out in Peru, the reality is that there is a consensus that it is the best option for purchase, the only thing he has a problem with is that it apparently still has parts from the U.S.

Lo más probable es que Perú adquiera el KF_21 sobre todo porque ya opera el KT_1P que hizo con transferencia tecnológica de Corea del sur y fábrica piezas del Fa_50.

Looks like an F-22 Raptor but cheaper and I presume with better Electronics. Since Korea is the only real competitor for the U.S.A. on High-Tech cpu production this plane should be an export-hit !
What is great is not just the indigenous development of fighter jet, but S Korean did it just on the schedule and on the budget. In fighter jet development, schedule delay and cost overrun are frequent and common, even in USA or Russian projects. But S Korean fighter jet project hardly experienced such long delay or budget overrun. It is rare achievement in aerospace industry or arms industry.
I like the KF-21 uses a modified GE F414, the same engine used in our Super Hornets, but a different version, The Super Hornet uses the General Electric F414-GE-400, while the KF-21 uses the General Electric F414-KI, I wonder what the differences are between the 2 engines, they are both F414 engine is, just 2 different versions.
The turbojet fan installed on the KF-21 is the GE 414-400K model. The difference from the existing GE414 series engine is that the nozzle volume is smaller than before to avoid interference with the KF-21 tail cone. It is a visually distinguishable feature and because the overall ratio of Korean parts used is 40%, it has a separate official name. What is wrong is that there is a fine adjustment of the output control software of the twin engine.
f22는 중앙날개가 더 크고 약간 라운드형인데 반해 kf21 직선형으로 설계된듯함.. 형상이 동체와 날개를 봤을때 f22는 종모양인데 반해 kf21은 다이아몬드 형상을 하고 있는게 특징인듯.. 상단부도 f22는 거의 평평하여 날렵하게 보인 반면 ..kf21은 울퉁불퉁 근육맨같아 묵직해보임.ㅎ
F-22의 시제기 테스트 버전인 YF-22시절과 비슷한게 현 KF-21 날개 모양입니다. 뭐가 더 나은지는 설계자가 아니라 잘 모르겠지만... F-22A 버전이 되면서 시제기 시절과는 다르게 날개가 다이아몬드로 바뀌었으니 다이아몬드형이 더 좀더 낫긴 하겠죠. KF-21도 저게 완전한 형태는 아닐테니 추후에 약간씩 바뀔지도 모르죠.(실제로 전세계 전투기들은 시제기때와 양산형은 디자인이 제법 바뀔때가 많음) F-22만 해도 YF-22시절에는 톱니패널조차 없었습니다.
As an American I of course like it when other countries buy our military hardware, but I also love seeing countries develop domestic systems as well. No country should ever be completely reliant on another. S. Korea makes a lot of high tech & sophisticated weapon systems of their own & the KF-21 is yet another example of the brilliance & dedication of the S. Korean people. It is a beautiful aircraft & is very impressive! I hope other countries will decide to purchase the KF-21 export version & may the S. Korean aviation industry have a very long & prosperous future! Americans are very proud to call S. Korea an ally, but we are even more honored to call the S. Korean people true friends! 🇰🇷🤝🇺🇲

In Korea, they will forever be treated as war heroes and will be respected wherever they go. The engine of KF-21 is GE F414-400K. It is slightly different from the F-414-400 mounted on the Super Hornet. Improved and modified to fit the KF-21.

14:04쯤 휘청하는 동작이 있었는데 조종사의 순간적인 실수가 아닐까 생각합니다.
kf-21 보라매 너무 자랑스럽고 감격스럽습니다.
81년~83년 군생활을 공군에서 했던터라 감회가 새롭고 가슴이 뭉클합니다.
기동성만 보면 F-35급 정도와 비슷할거에요.
전체로 따지면 F16 이랑 비슷하거나 아래 일듯하네요

f22는 중앙날개가 더 크고 약간 라운드형인데 반해 kf21 직선형으로 설계된듯함.. 형상이 동체와 날개를 봤을때 f22는 종모양인데 반해 kf21은 다이아몬드 형상을 하고 있는게 특징인듯.. 상단부도 f22는 거의 평평하여 날렵하게 보인 반면 ..kf21은 울퉁불퉁 근육맨같아 묵직해보임.ㅎ
결론은 스텔스성능이 좀 떨어지는 외형임
F-22의 시제기 테스트 버전인 YF-22시절과 비슷한게 현 KF-21 날개 모양입니다.
뭐가 더 나은지는 설계자가 아니라 잘 모르겠지만... F-22A 버전이 되면서 시제기 시절과는 다르게
날개가 다이아몬드로 바뀌었으니 다이아몬드형이 더 좀더 낫긴 하겠죠.
KF-21도 저게 완전한 형태는 아닐테니 추후에 약간씩 바뀔지도 모르죠.(실제로 전세계 전투기들은 시제기때와
양산형은 디자인이 제법 바뀔때가 많음)
F-22만 해도 YF-22시절에는 톱니패널조차 없었습니다.

As an American I of course like it when other countries buy our military hardware, but I also love seeing countries develop domestic systems as well. No country should ever be completely reliant on another. S. Korea makes a lot of high tech & sophisticated weapon systems of their own & the KF-21 is yet another example of the brilliance & dedication of the S. Korean people. It is a beautiful aircraft & is very impressive! I hope other countries will decide to purchase the KF-21 export version & may the S. Korean aviation industry have a very long & prosperous future! Americans are very proud to call S. Korea an ally, but we are even more honored to call the S. Korean people true friends! 🇰🇷🤝🇺🇲
We Koreans are very grateful to the Korean War veterans in the United States. In all training courses, we listen to, learn from, and educate about the activities of UN veterans. In Korea, they will forever be treated as war heroes and will be respected wherever they go. In the future, Korea will not spare much support for the descendants of war heroes and will hold invitation events and consolation performances for them. thank you

Yep, no doubt about that. The ONLY country that US made investments paid off and thinking it will apply to other countries turned out to be total disaster from Vietnam, never learned lesion and went to Irag, the same tragic outcome, and even pouring lots of money to rebel of Syria also turned out be pouring money to very unreliable people of middle east and STILL we did not learn lesion and went to Obama's disaster so-called "Afghanistan surge" only made worst and history always repeat and we were sucked into thinking so-called Northern Alliance will be help us but that was Pashtuns' (major Afghan ethnic group and Taliban backbone) plan to draw us in and they have place to escape remote mountain of Pakistan that does not govern by Pakistan Central Government and it was another disaster, except cost trillion dollars like Irag two trillion dollars spend for one man's ill-conceived invasion; George Bush and still got away with it.
