    It would be interesting if you could compare the CPL28 vs Aer TP3 small (28L)... Also just guess that you do likes cordura nylon more than xpac material, am I right (from your videos) ? If yes, would you mind to share why you like cordura > xpac ?

      @gmgryan 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I own the TP3 small and the CTB26. I will say even though the CTB26 even though two less liters imo holds more, because of the way the laptop compartment redistributes unused space into the main compartment and just the overall layout. If you watch both reviews it comes down to: Do you enjoy the admin panel of the TP3, or having two medium dump pockets and a smaller admin pocket. Also…. I will say if you put these bags on top of a roller….. hands down evergoods. TP3 all your gear / pockets are only usable in the upright position whereas evergoods does an amazing job supporting both orientations.

      Thank you for watching and for the suggestion! Regarding the materials, I really like both cordura and xpac, I like that the appearance of the cordura is a little more subdued and I also don’t like that so many bags with xpac have a bright orange liner

    Hi Danny, Ive been watching almost every backpack review channel for my one bag selection and now my EDC selection and I have to say, you are my 'go-to' reviewer. You give detailed information in just the right amount without a bunch of snarky commentary OR verbal diarrhea. And you dont randomly throw stuff in the packs that is just distracting. The one thing that would be nice to add (but would add time) is a standard pack out that you would use for every review. A lot of channels just sort of throw whatever they have on hand into the packs that varies from review to review. I dont think you need to do this, but if you did, it would be cool for you to be able to say - OK, this is my standard one bag travel pack out or my standard EDC packout that I use in every review...as you guys know, I like to travel with full size noise canceling headphones and they go HERE in this bag...blah, blah, blah. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!!

      Thank you for watching and for the support! I’m glad the videos have been helpful and I think that’s a good idea on having the standardized load outs across the videos, especially for comparison ones

    Thanks for the timely review! I own the CPL24 and I’ve been thinking about downsizing to a smaller bag for everyday office carry. Been thinking a lot about the City Pack but wonder if I should go for the Pro. Seems like the size difference isn’t huge between the CPL24 and City Pack Pro.
    Sharing some opinion. The CPL24 is a great bag, but the design of having a taller bag + meant to wear it higher means it will look massive if you’re on the shorter side. Also the curved back does dig in if it doesn’t fit you well. So it’s much less forgiving and I would recommend trying it out in stores before buying.

      I would check out the GoRuck Bullet Double Compartment in 16L or 18L.

      Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! Good callouts and I would say that the city pack pro is a good amount bigger than the city pack especially with the clamshell opening and the dedicated laptop sleeve

      @@dannypacksah, I would see how my comment can be misleading. I meant between the City Pack Pro and CPL24 size isn’t much different.

    Hey man, you mentioned your issue with the CPL causing your back to sweat a bit more. How exactly has the new backpanel helped? And by how much? Back panel breathability is very important to me on backpacks and I've always shyed away from Evergood bags because of this.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thank you for watching! Overall, the new evergoods back panel has been more breathable then previous versions (the videos evergoods have breaking down the materials and design of the back can give a more technical breakdown of the benefits if that’s helpful) and I do find it comfortable, for my preferences I still prefer the air mesh and deep air channels of the aer backpacks as it feels like they provide more airflow and I just like the feeling better

    is there something like the Decathlon quechua nh500 and Patagonia mlc around 25-32l i just got the nh500 32 but i had to send it back bad stiching everywhere somehow it had no Powerbank and secret Pockets, Online it showed it has it but after i got it nothing i controlled it a couple Times weird great Backpack if it had everything and no Stiching issues... Main/laptop and 1 extra compartment + 1 Side stretchy Bottle thingy is a must, the Patagonia if it had 1 compartmend more for Shower Stuff maybe i can buy extra small bag and add it too it.

    Just received the black griffin CPL24 and not really sure it’s any larger then my GR1 21L heritage. I’m already thinking about selling it and getting the GR2 heritage instead as I need just a bit more room that I thought the CPL would offer. The biggest reason I ordered it is because I was looking for a way to carry a laptop, tablet, and a full-size Bible but I never really liked putting my Bible and tablet in the plate pocket on the GR1, nor do I like having my tablet bouncing around in the main area. I was really hoping the laptop pocket on the CPL would be sufficient to fix that issue, but I found that it just pushes into the main compartment and I end up with what seems to be less overall room in the main compartment. I either need to load the bag out in a different way than I had my GR1 or I need to find a different bag altogether that has the capacity for two full sized devices plus a good secure pocket for a full-size Bible. any suggestions for a different bag?

    I say EG CPL 24L is a quite heavy so I might think of the Aer one.

    Hey Danny been watching your channel/reviews for awhile now and just subscribed today. Love your no nonsense and influenced reviews and comparison. One thing I thought would of been nice in this review was a side by side chart comparison with like check boxes. I work in the tech field and love my Aer products the water bottle pocket on my work bag was a deal breaker.
    When I do go camper/outdoors I go with my GR1as I need to Molle Loops.
    Cheers!

    The Aer interior materials feel super cheap to me... that's why I got rid of it size wise they're pretty similar. I wanted the CPL 16 but it's out of stock I think it's coming back in in a few months That's the perfect EDC size for me.

      @dannypacks  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching and good question! To me it feels like they are actually really similar when they’re only partially loaded and tend to look top heavy

    You mentioned the Aer had the advantage on the straps- on comfort, sure... but the CPL is going to LAST. That padding on the Aers starts to pill in less than a year.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching and that’s a fair concern, so far my aer bag has continued to hold up well but will keep an eye on it

      I've been using my Aer TP3 for over a year now, almost daily, and while I've been concerned about this exact issue from day one, I feel the mesh on the straps and back panels has held up very well, with only a few stray fibers here and there. After wearing the City Sling 2 in Xpac for two years, I now know that PU-coated zippers like aquaguard are not the way to go if you are after true longevity. I'm considering the MPL 22 from Evergoods as my next pack.

    Evergoods has the best thought-out pockets IMO. They have the best access in terms of how users would actually use them. And the fact of their design philosophy that each pocket has its own independent volume, and also the length of the zippers is long enough for easy access to the pockets.

    • @dannypacks
      @dannypacks  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching! Both are really great overall, I prefer the layout and size of the CPP for a majority of my use cases but for a little more capacity or a different pocket layout the tomtoc bag will be great!

    I own the CPL24 in the X42 olive and blaze orange interior and it is one my most enjoyable packs. I personally have no issues at all with the newly designed back panel and breathability. I prefer this pack over the AER. The CPL24 in the X-Pac is light as a feather too, so nice. Thanks for the comparison!

    • @dannypacks

      Thank you for watching! They both have a pretty stiff back panel / frame, I would say the EVERGOODS frames sheet is maybe slightly more rigid but it’s close
