It almost seems it was written and recorded with Nostalgia in mind - not just for those in it's current initial time but for those in the future who happen upon it or rediscover it.
So soothing. Really takes me back to my childhood and Christmas time as far back as 40 years (I'm 45). It just gives me that same feeling. I get the same feelings when I hear Burl Ives singing those classics from the Rudolph movie. It's funny, the older you get the more you appreciate certain things.
GoldenEra 4ever this is really expiring to sometimes because it is not about presents it's about family and friends and getting together just like any other holiday just makes me cry sometimes
My absolute favorite... I never get "that Christmas feeling" until I see / hear this wonderful song...im 65 years old and it remains my favorite Christmas tune.... just beautiful..I tear up every single time
It ain’t Christmas time until this song is played. You know “A Charlie Brown Christmas “ is on tv. Sitting down in front of the television. Don’t bother me now. The phone will be ringing off the wall. Call me back later.
I'm 16 and I'm the only one who enjoys it anymore when the teacher puts on Charlie Brown holiday specials...how times have changed since I was a little kid
There's probably others who enjoy it too, but who wish they could have the courage to let people know. Kids put so much effort into trying to pretend they don't like anything that they think others will think is kids stuff. But when you're grown-up inside enough, you can start remembering, and telling people again how much you love, and always loved this kind of thing. This is actually a very sophisticated and musically artistic, jazz inspired tune. At least I think it is mostly jazz. This is not the ABC song, not that there's anything wrong with that song either. But tell them this song is something they'll be able to appreciate more as they get older. And sounds like you're already there. Almost all the people who are appreciating this song here, are adults. And almost all would love to go back to their youth for a day, a week, or in some cases, forever. Knowing what they know NOW of course, lol.
Miss Rachel, for some reason, this song always reminds me to rinse my eyes too! I've loved this music and special for almost 50 years now. God bless you and yours, have a wonderful and meaningful Christmas filled with love and joy.
Whenever I hear this I think of my mom… during the holidays she used sit down me and watch them on CBS (8:00am-8:30pm lol). It was a happier time, I miss her
I bought a vhs tap at the shell gas station the day after this show aid on ABC. I am 73 years old. But it still puts me in the mood 4 Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone. God bless...😊
"Oh, that we could always see Such spirit through the year." As often as I've listened to this song, I never paid attention to these words until lately. What a message of hope! I'm just grateful that such a world will come in the Kingdom of God!
I'm disabled have epilepsy and near the end of my life as well.. I would play this on a loop for eternity. Life is never fair. And history repeats itself. All the good old days gone. Sad forever..
My great great great grandmother Nancy Brown, would be so proud of her great great grandson for Making that heart-felt comment... Merry Christmas everyone !!!!
Thank you for posting this sir. And absolutely beautiful song. I'm not ashamed to say as a grown man at 46 I actually get choked up hearing this. Takes me back to a simpler time in my childhood. When you didn't have a care in the world, and the stress of living life as an adult was years away. Now in my middle age, life is different, loved ones have passed on,but hearing music like this takes you back to that innocent time in your life, when the world just seemed like a better place.
as my life draws to a close I realize that I've become Charlie Brown, and my old faithful friend who crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year Snoopy. I am in tears listening to and watching this video. oh if only I could turn back time !!
We were raised very poor so anything like watching t.v., and listening to or watching, Christmas programs made our time seem RICH - And you know, I am almost 70 and KNOW that it is people and not 'things' that make the Holidays so great -
51 yrs old from the Bronx . I was playing this in the car yesterday , I got to the light and there was a bus stop adjacent from me . Everyone and I mean everyone just nodded there heads in sync . I felt like I did some good yesterday
Ruben Figueroa yea but we’re growing to adults too and life is changing in many aspects though this song help us feel and remember when life was not so much about responsibility when it was still simple, peaceful, curious, fun, & remembering the Christmas as a whole family if that hadn’t change yet☃️
I lost my mom in April. She was the best mother, gave us the most magical holiday experiences ever and this song brings it all back to my childhood days of my siblings watching Charlie Brown Christmas...I miss her every second of every day 😢❤
Of all the Christmas songs out there, this is my favorite. I was born in '62, maybe somewhere down in my subconscious this song strikes all the right cords. Happy Holidays everybody!
Still nostalgic for me every year, now I'm 45 year young in 2023, but always took me back when i was 3rd grade; all kids and families gathering around for Christmas.....
This piece is sooo relaxing. I'm 60 and I love this as much as I did when I was a child. May you all have a Charlie Brown Holiday season, and peace fill your life.
To everyone born in the late 70s...can u believe we are in our 40s?.... shit is crazy...this song gives me chills thinking back when I was a kid at my grandparents...when life was simple and not a care in the world 😔
Since I was a child when this was aired on tv before reruns.....I always have mixed feelings about it, happy and sad.....as we all know, memories are so powerful.....Seasons Greeting to ALL!
This song makes me cry because it brings me back to the times when I was a kid and celebrated almost every Christmas with my grandmother, she absolutely loved that time of year, when me and my siblings were younger she would always tell us what the true meaning of Christmas was, and told some of my neighbours too, she always sang songs with my mom in the kitchen during the Christmas period, but when she died a part of my Christmas died too, and this year would be the first Christmas we celebrate since she died.
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING CHARLIE BROWN'S CHRISTMAS SINCE IT FIRST AIRED. I AM 66YRS OLD AND I PLAN TO SEE NEXT YEAR, AND THE NEXT. IT HAS BECOME MY PERSONAL TRADITION.😇
This song really sums up the feeling of Christmas for me. It's sung by children yet uses sophisticated chords. And it is celebratory, as Christmas should be, but sad at the same time. Many of us have lost people and think of them around this time. And some of us also live far away from home and so the emotions are not simple ones. Anyway, this Ohioan is happy to hear this on Christmas eve today in Japan.
As a retired teacher, I felt it a great compliment when one of the mothers said “ our show reminds me of a Charlie Brown Christmas.” I’m an old bag now and I didn’t realize what that meant until I watched this again. 🥲
A Charlie Brown Christmas brings me back to so many memories when I was a kid. When times were simple, and we didn't have all the stress we have now, and no cell phones, and AI! What a beautiful time to 70's and 80's were. I miss those days!
Back in the day, us kids could not wait for this show to be on the air. There were no DVR's, VCR's DVD's, etc...there was no walking away to go to the bathroom or you might miss a scene. And it was usually only shown once in the season. But what a magic time it was.
I am 78yrs and never get tired of hearing this awesome song. Takes me back to better times. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Everyone.🎄

The Nostalgia is strong with this song.
It almost seems it was written and recorded with Nostalgia in mind - not just for those in it's current initial time but for those in the future who happen upon it or rediscover it.
Great song 🎵
This song represents Christmas to me more than any other song
I agree with that
@@sonicfanboy3375 me too
Why do I cry everytime I hear this??? Peace n love to all the lil Peanuts out there. The Bad Guy...
Ditto here! Blessings to all.

Brings tears to my eyes remembering Christmas’s past
Hi random person scrolling through the comments!
You’re so beautiful! Keep trying your best!!
Mary Renner
Bless you, & thanks! 😉
Mary Renner. You have a beautiful soul. Thanks so very much.🙂
Mary Renner Thanks. Needed this.
What a sweet thing to say! God Bless you.
You made the rest of my day after a rough one!! Same to you!
Thanks for your comment, GoldenEra 4ever, and I feel the same way!
GoldenEra 4ever I'm 61 and I remember this
GoldenEra 4ever this is really expiring to sometimes because it is not about presents it's about family and friends and getting together just like any other holiday just makes me cry sometimes
so true. I'm 44 & my wife is 41. The memories, so wonderful
Takes me back to the 1st time I heard it and I am 64.
My absolute favorite... I never get "that Christmas feeling" until I see / hear this wonderful song...im 65 years old and it remains my favorite Christmas tune.... just beautiful..I tear up every single time
Ur in good company there mate
It isn't Christmas until I hear this song.
Yes Carl yes! me too!
It ain’t Christmas time until this song is played. You know “A Charlie Brown Christmas “ is on tv. Sitting down in front of the television. Don’t bother me now. The phone will be ringing off the wall. Call me back later.
I'm 27 years old and I love this when I was growing up every Christmas I made to look at the special on abc or fox
I am 72 years old and I never tire of listing to this song either. It's Christmas mood and sensation for me.
Id rather die than listen to modern music. Right here is home for me
Always remember what Linus tells us and Charlie Brown at the end and You will have hope and peace.✌
aha. in my ap classes everyone begins dancing or singing when they hear charlie brown
I'm 55 and this song saddens me because all the people I lost within the last 5 yrs are physically not with me anymore..my heart aches ...
I feel you. Time and life sucks.
I love this song so much! I NEVER get sick and tired of it.❤🎄❤️
Me to:)

Miss Rachel, for some reason, this song always reminds me to rinse my eyes too! I've loved this music and special for almost 50 years now. God bless you and yours, have a wonderful and meaningful Christmas filled with love and joy.
Yes, me too...
Me too! Like right now. I miss you Mom! I miss you Dad!

Even in the pandemic this brings out the child soul in me. Here’s to a better 2021!
Amen. RIP 🙏 🕊 2 everyone who passed due to Covid.

2023 here we ARE! Soon 2024....
Watching this in the 70's was a blessing. Happier times in society, Rudolph, Frosty, etc. brings joyous memories.
Charlie Brown can teach you some life lessons

I don't know why but this song makes me feel sad. Maybe because I miss my parents.
Same here. Days of love, bewilderment, and comfort
I see you, Mike! ❤️
I'm with you, me too
Rest in peace to all the brothers and fallen Soldiers deceased God bless and happy holidays, merry Christmas.
Your not alone I lost mine older sister mine bother
This song is classic. I never get tired of it. Sounds just as good today as it did over 50 years ago
"Oh, that we could always see Such spirit through the year." As often as I've listened to this song, I never paid attention to these words until lately. What a message of hope! I'm just grateful that such a world will come in the Kingdom of God!
Great words for sure!
Deborah, I wish you peace and love this season.
Yesss! You are so right!!! 🙏💖🙏
I am but a very poor servant but a super Amen to that ma’am
YESSSSSSSSSS ☺️☺️☺️💛💛🇺🇸💛💛
I'm disabled have epilepsy and near the end of my life as well.. I would play this on a loop for eternity. Life is never fair. And history repeats itself. All the good old days gone. Sad forever..
Memories doesn't get any better than this.
very true
Nostalgia 100%, my favorite Christmas Song and Movie." It's not what's under the Christmas tree that matters, It's who's around it"-Charlie Brown.
My great great great grandmother
Nancy Brown, would be so proud
of her great great grandson for
Making that heart-felt comment...
You're welcome, Chris, and thank you for your comments!
as my life draws to a close I realize that I've become Charlie Brown, and my old faithful friend who crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year Snoopy.
I am in tears listening to and watching this video.
oh if only I could turn back time !!
We were raised very poor so anything like watching t.v., and listening to or watching, Christmas programs made our time seem RICH - And you know, I am almost 70 and KNOW that it is people and not 'things' that make the Holidays so great -
This is absolutely my favorite Christmas song
Ikr!
51 yrs old from the Bronx . I was playing this in the car yesterday , I got to the light and there was a bus stop adjacent from me . Everyone and I mean everyone just nodded there heads in sync . I felt like I did some good yesterday
Memories of Christmas. Thank you Charlie Brown.
The magic of Vince Guraldi and The Vienna Boys Choir.
It wasn’t the Vienna Boys Choir. It was members is the choir at St Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Rafael Ca. Marin County. I was one of them
I love Charlie Brown at Christmas time 😍 !!!! Thanks for the memories Charles Shultz, so talented RIP!! We will never forget you!!!
Im 42 and will always remember watching this with mom n dad. I hope the children today have the same memories years from now.
Ruben Figueroa yea but we’re growing to adults too and life is changing in many aspects though this song help us feel and remember when life was not so much about responsibility when it was still simple, peaceful, curious, fun, & remembering the Christmas as a whole family if that hadn’t change yet☃️
As a child this song always hit the ❤️' miss you mom&dad 😓🕯️🕊️
🌹 better wrld 🖤
Oh that was so sad sorry for dad&mom i was not it but god always be with them god plese help this preson with love and a new hart
🥰 74 yrs young and still wondering if I will ever grow up...😊 Oh well...Just going to keep listening to Charlie Brown's Christmas Forever.🥰
Brings back memories...when people really cared for each other praying we get back to that. Thank you Jesus!
The greatest Christmas song ever written? It captures the innocence perfectly.
i miss when christmas felt magical
Still nostalgic for me every year, now I'm 45 year young in 2023, but always took me back when i was 3rd grade; all kids and families gathering around for Christmas.....
Hearing this music and reading the comments, pure "Nostalgia"
Sometimes my feelings are too much to bear. I miss being safe and young.
This piece is sooo relaxing. I'm 60 and I love this as much as I did when I was a child. May you all have a Charlie Brown Holiday season, and peace fill your life.
I'll be 52 in January, but when I hear this I feel the innocence of my childhood rushing back into my soul. Thanks for this.....
Every time it just starts to get cold here in MN, this song starts to go in my head. Schultz definitely had some Midwestern melancholy in his strip
To everyone born in the late 70s...can u believe we are in our 40s?.... shit is crazy...this song gives me chills thinking back when I was a kid at my grandparents...when life was simple and not a care in the world 😔
To think that 3 instrumentalists could come up with such a gorgeous sound. I love the Vince Guaraldi Trio.
Not even Christmas time yet, but something brought me here✨
Since I was a child when this was aired on tv before reruns.....I always have mixed feelings about it, happy and sad.....as we all know, memories are so powerful.....Seasons Greeting to ALL!
I’m 50, love this every year when I was a kid, makes me a little sad now.
It reminds me of my youth when everything was so magical and everybody was here a house full of love.
Wonderful share. Thank you kesenaememere8520.
Back when life was more than simple, it was fun. Merry Christmas to all.
I HAVE BEEN WATCHING CHARLIE BROWN'S CHRISTMAS SINCE IT FIRST AIRED. I AM 66YRS OLD AND I PLAN TO SEE NEXT YEAR, AND THE NEXT. IT HAS BECOME MY PERSONAL TRADITION.😇
This takes me back to my childhood. I always loved this song.
Anyway, this Ohioan is happy to hear this on Christmas eve today in Japan.
amen, 'drew !
I gotta listen to this song every Christmas. Aren't we all Charlie Brown in some way?
yup, somebody's always pulling that football away.
Im 32 and me and my mother (RIP Angel) use to watch this every year!! Its September but i had to hear it for some reason ❤❤❤
Makes one feel and remember when Christmas was Christmas and all was OK
. No such thing as the messed up crap we deal with today.
I'm 60 yrs old. Remember watching in the 60s. Memories! Merry Christmas everyone! 🎅🎄🎋🎍
same here Annie! First watched this when I was 5 years old back in 1965!
I miss those days!
if you didn't enjoy this song from your childhood, you could never know how special it truly is.
This short clip has more humanity, beauty. & intelligence than 99% of the films & tv shows being made today. Happy Holidays to all!✌😇
It makes me cry at 62 at all the Christmases I’ve missed with my family
It's just about fall (9/20/24), and 4:37 am. I'm up and I wanted to hear this song ❤.
Me too , it bring back fun memories as a child
Every year we would watch this before winter break filling out a holiday packet.
Makes me feel happy and sad at the same time 😢❤ miss you grandma
Sorry for your loss. It’s been 5 years for me.
May she rest in heaven ❤
This song makes me feel warm ❤
Back in the day, us kids could not wait for this show to be on the air. There were no DVR's, VCR's DVD's, etc...there was no walking away to go to the bathroom or you might miss a scene. And it was usually only shown once in the season. But what a magic time it was.
