i notice this is a never version of the first ue boom. the original ue boom, you have to be careful to remove the rubber part of it, because the bluetooth antenna is attached to on the rubber with 2 wires

just watch the video UE Boom 2 was not charging inside of the connector there is a pen set if the pen set is bent straighten pins reattach you have a new connection. completed this little project in under 30 minutes

question: I use my UE MegaBoom in the shower. one day, I noticed that it sound muffled in shower and then sound went low. I picked it up, shook it off and everything is OK. Why do you think this happened if it's waterproof and water resistant. and now ( it could be psychological from this experience) but it seems like the bass is not as full. still a killer sound, jus seems like sound diminished. Could it have and could one of the speakers or drivers now be compromised. again, speaker sounds great still. need some insight. thanks. bklyn💯

What did the factory use to seal it? I dropped mine from about 4' onto tile and the top popped up to where I could just barely see the blue clip inside (UE Megaboom) like your orange one. I'm still trying to figure out if the seal is broken beyond testing it by submerging it.

Yeah, my girlfriend accidentally tossed it in with some towels and it went through a full wash cycle. I let it dry out for a week before any heavy use but it works just fine.

Hello, I would suspect that it is a battery issue....u may want to try to connect it via bluetooth to a different device...to verify that there is no sound...hope this helps...as always pls like and share the vid. :)
Most probably the battery is reaching the end of its life. Change the battery or connect it to an external power source and see if the problem goes away.
Luke Froeb Hello....if you open it fully you will break the silcone seals (these can be resealed). The fabric screen will be fine...hope this helps and thanks for watching.

I destroyed mine while opening it . Well . Its a bad speaker. So .... I don't mind. Even for less money U can buy better devices. Fk.. it. I don't recommend UE Boom I realised that its poorly made as I opened it. The drivers are a fail like they are made, the passive radiators are waaayyyyy to big and heavy duty and the single 18650 battery didn't lasted very long. Mine is 2 years old and the battery is dead after 10 Minutes of a full blast. So Thank you . But don't buy this Box.
Keep the chatter to a minimum. Music is distract and annoying. And, slipping in advertisement. I simply turned off the annoying, and learned quicker. Oh by the way, don't need anything to open the outer, simply remove by the side removal will allow easier removal of top and bottom. Mine, unless you don't have a version made in China. The battery is not glued in, mine slips out after disconnecting the connector which is not easy without prying the molex connector very easy by the tab that locks so the power supply cannot easy disconnect having it fully assembled.

It is not water proof, the UE Boom 2 is supposed to be more water proof.
