Ash Greninja was lit for sure. Debut was slightly extra but the fact that it didn't work out at first made it become an earned powerup. Shame it was tossed away

I think Ash greninja is pretty cool. A bit of an oc move, but they did it for him in canon and not a movie so I respect that. And the fact that it was kinda the start of his pop off was pretty important too. Great reaction btw.

Really good reaction as usual, this made me emotional, the end of the cypher always gets me, as for Ash-Greninja, I love it, was so hyped when I first saw it, its own version of mega, and the semis against Sawyer and the finals against Alain were sick because of this Pokemon, looked so cool animated, going to miss Ash, he was my childhood and still a big part of me after all these years, taught me to never give up on my dreams
That last bit on Cam's verse hits so damn hard. My feels.😂 You can feel the love for the series and what it meant for Cam. Hell, what it meant for us all. Fantastic work from everyone.

First of all, I just wanna say that I always have to fight back tears whenever I listen to this. IT’S TOO GOOD!!!
As for my thoughts on the Ash-Greninja thing, I think it was ok, but I think it would’ve worked better it was with either Pikachu or Charizard (because he’s known them for a lot longer compared to Greninja).
I know that Charizard is overused nowadays, but I think it would’ve been better if Mega Charizard X was instead Ash-Charizard and Mega Charizard Y was just the default Mega form. Also, seeing as how Ash got Charizard back in B+W, it would’ve made more sense if he brought it to X+Y.

Ash-Greninja is my favorite Pokemon so obviously think its dope. Greninja by itself got me back into Pokemon after not playing b2w2. Then I saw it in the anime, its battles were awesome and then they announced the sun and mon demo with Ash-Greninja in it a day after my birthday. Felt like a birthday gift from Pokemon itself.
Ash greninja is imo one of the sickest things Pokémon ever did it was badass af and I wish they wouldve brought him back during journeys cause it was lit

I've watched the different people react to this now, and EVERY TIME it gets to that ending I freaking tear up.
I stopped watching the anime during the Unova saga cause I couldn't stand how they dumbed Ash down so much.
I haven't watched an episode since, but damn it! I want to watch it all again, in spite of how much I still hate the show's "soft reboot," I want to see the journeys I've missed and the lessons I've never learned.
Screw you Cam! You made me feel things I haven't felt since my first time playing Sapphire and seeing my first episode of the show!

I grew up on Pokémon,Dragon Ball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh! So seeing Ash not in the new Pokémon series is a sad thing to see cause Ash is such an iconic character in the Pokémon series

I hate them. I hate the redesigns so much, especially pikachu. The eyes are unappealing to look it. Its hard to focus on those demon eyes they gave Pikachu. I hate it so much.

For real though this shit HURT. Crazy to think my childhood friend Ash is leaving and passing the torch onto someone else. But now I get to introduce my nephew (who just happens to be the same age I was when Pokemon came out) to this series with his own Ash to root for.
Dark was great from a competitive standpoint but it was horrendous for the casual player due to the fact all dark moves were special and all dark types were more attack inclined. Steel was better but 2/4 of the mons were in the same evo line so it was vasyly overlooked.
This is less of a rap cypher and more of an ash tribute song.
I hardly see anyone actually catch the last bar in The Kevin Bennet's verse (took me at least 2 listens before I caught it myself). The last line he says is "You can be champion, you never know." You never know sounds like Unova, no.

Greninja Ash was a dope thing in the anime but my worst effing nightmare in any in-game or competitive setting
Also, I'm sure it'll be a controversial take because of mixed opinions on singing in these cyphers - but the last half of McGwire's verse is my favourite bit of this whole thing. And there wasn't a single bad or even half-baked verse.

Could be interesting if they continued with a new older MC. Take it a slightly more mature route for the people who grew up but still okay for teens.
MC who's in his older teens, still a decent if not good person but without the friendship is power emphasis type stuff. Battles, combinations, move creations. Gym leaders having multiple teams for multiple tiers for those who have just started, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 badges already. Maybe even their personal elite pokemon for those who're older and been around long enough.
Of course younger gyms not having teams plural for all that and maybe Inks up to 4 or 6 badges while having their main for 7 and 8.
Could have the same gym leaders mostly only a few years older to keep the draw of the previous audience. With the slightly more serious/real non kiddy focus pulling further.

If we factor in Base Stat Totals and the move used to beat Greninja, and Mega Charizard’s type, that was inevitable. (I suggest watching Alain’s series)
@@zemellion26 the anime doesn’t really follow that stuff all the time if it did why would pikachu be able to take out a ground type Pokémon with an electric move?
@@MrCaptainSpacker if you notice, they start really focusing on types around gen 3 and up. This is why pikachu took out Roxanne’s Geodude with that whole arc about learning iron tail.
