On the app that you use to rate restaurants, you'd think that instead of just being able to select fast or slow, it would be better if you could enter how long you waited for. Fast or slow is subjective, and I'd imagine seeing an average wait time would be more useful? Thanks for another great video btw :)
Very good suggestion! The guys from rodeo will see these comments but I will also pass on ones like this! Appreciate your support and thanks for taking time to comment
The problem with that is that many restaurants complain that they do not have much time to make the order and the rider turning up early to collect it. It is best for them to be more accurate about waiting times rather than "taking too long". For instance the other day, I went to Nando's, they told me 10 minutes. Normally I would have cancelled but got a close by Uber which I managed to do in 9 minutes, came back to Nando's, waited 2 minutes and got my order. If they didn't tell me anything I would have not accepted the Uber order.
Data doesn't really matter until there's a good amount of sample size. So dropping a review every time you visit the same store is the best thing to do. Also, that KFC probably tape those sodas outside the bag of each order so that it doesn't get forgotten when the order is picked up. that's why the tape doesn't wrap around the bag. They know the delivery drivers will separate them. Usually.
I'm genuinely enjoying watching your videos. Slick presentation and interesting content. I used to do HGV deliveries North of the river, but I only had 5-10 drops a day. I have absolute respect for you guys out there working for yourself, surviving from delivery to delivery. Ride safe my friend.
As someone who doesn't ride. It'd be great if there was an equivalent thing for customers - showing if the person delivering got treated friendly etc. As for speed, I suppose that is already calculated out by deliveroo etc.
This is why I like apps like Roo & Uber, if you have a double order and you're on a mission to earn as much as possible you can reject orders even when you've arrived. After all, if you've got one order there's no reason to wait 20 minutes after the first order to get the second and deliver a cold order to the first. I've also lost count of the amount of times that I've rejected an order and then got the same order back after delivering the first and for way more money!
Another great video 👍 i get that alot on my justeat where it's stuck on 'checking for updates' and 'are you still there' annoying tbh. Love your content can't wait for another. 😊
It’s a good idea to have the drivers be able to rate restaurants. If they’re rude and/or slow, drivers need to know about it and not accept those orders
Totally agree with keeping the drinks separate in food orders. Last time I ordered from KFC, they put the drinks in the same sticker-sealed bag as the food. They put the two Pepsi right on top of the chips... Cold chips and warm Pepsi. The worst!
I like to view your uploads but what amazes me is how people do not give you a tip I know times are hard but I always give at least £ 1 tip to my delivery driver as my address is a hard one to find. drive safe Dude...............🤠
Would love to know what type of e-moped you have mate? How much did it cost? Where did you buy it? Also interested in the delivery gear you put on your moped. Cheers :)
Don't restart your phone bro, just tap on the app and hold, press the little "i" Button and then clear the cache, should work again, I do this trick for my work app, it's a different one, but should be the same trick
When your JustEat screen is blank sometimes you can sort it by just swiping backwards onto the map. Happens to me when it's really busy, must have a hard time processing or something.
No we have them in America. For example for Mr. Beast Burger, if that is still around It’s a kitchen that prepares food for delivery but is not open to the general public for pick up or dine in
It's a kitchen with a sole purpose of not being "open" to the public to come and order face to face, it's just a kitchen that prepares delivery orders.
Dark Kitchens got given the "nickname" of dark kitchens because there is no natural light/ no windows. Also the legal requirements at least in the UK England are a little different than opening a normal restaurant. They are the restaurant industries equivalent of a company that transports stuff for major corporations storing their customers stock at selected storage hubs for distribution every time the client needs some goods. The contracted courier goes to a hub that is open 24/7 365 days a year collects the stuff and deliveries it to where it needed. The concept was common for equipment like computer parts for traffic lights delivered anywhere in the country at short notice. The concept was operational long before the food and restaurant industry picked up on the idea.
he as always great video. I remember you were saying a while ago that you wanted to do like a non delivery video of you just driving around. Since you are always talking about how good some places are that you pick up off, would be nice to make a video about your favorite places to eat or to take coffee from, combined with like a scenic tour on the e-bike. Also i don,t know if it is possible but if you ever want to try outside UK, please do a delivery in Dublin i,ll treat you to a Guinness
just a heads up alot of riders i know who use just eat/stuart and get no orders from uber alot of the time but when they dont use just eat/stuart the get more orders i feel like the JE/stuart app bugs uber and maybe others
It's going really well! Alot more responsibility at work now I'm qualified but I love it! Hopefully start my own contracting business once I've done some more courses and gained more experience on install work
I watched a couple of videos but I find some restaurants very rude, you are very patient guy. But if they speak to me the way they speak to you sometimes, let's say they can't cook for the day and I stop delivering 😂
I think he said in another video that he usually cleans them every few shifts unless a drink has spilt in then. Then he'll clean it after that shift. I hope that this helps. 🙂
My issue with Rodeo is the fact you have to sign into the app to use it as effectively as possible. I agree with what they're trying to do, but they really do need to work with the companies to use an API instead of having to log into your delivery account. Yes I'm aware you can manually enter deliveries etc. But this doesn't work at all, there has to be a way where you don't need to sign in, but you can still access the data if you give it permission.
No its how the companies rob the riders, customers pay half of that and they pay you the other half and keep the profits from the 20+ the customer probably paid for the food, for every £3 you make they are making £15+
Did you ever get orders for that dodgy pick n mix place again? Looked pure shady in one of your older uploads and been meaning to ask 😂😂 ps quality upload as always ❤
I work at Yandex Food Moscow Russia and there the kfc packaging is better than yours. They also put a large order in a bag with handles and water in a bag with cardboard holders!
I don't really understand with them being fast or slow. If you get an order that will take a restaunt 15 min to make and you arrive there within 5 min, it's not like they can help it.
They get the order before a rider is assigned and notified to go and pickup, sometimes I find that restaurants are slow because 1. They have little to no staff or 2. They don't care about online orders, most restaurants are fine it's just the odd 1 that are super slow (,mcdonalds being 1 for sure)
hey man, loving the content! hope u don’t mind me asking, do you earn any extra money off making youtube vids? if so, how much do u get per a certain amount of views? do u have to have over a certain amount of subscribers to make money? keep these videos coming ❤
Dont want to be annoying, im sorry. But these API's nowadays are upcoming exploits man. How do they surpass the verification? It has to keep pulling from your apps.
not sure if it's just cause you're a good guy or if we don't see maybe everything on these videos but you vote a lot of them as being friendly when from what we can see on these videos...the people seem really quiet and a bit awkward to work with? I could be wrong
Okay this video feels like its sponsored but in no way have you stated it is. If rodeo has paid for you to promote this app in any way you need to clearly state that or you will face criminal charges and/or large fines don't want you to get in trouble.
Hey thanks for your comment! This is Not sponsored video, I have been in regular contact with the guys at rodeo and I love the app and what they have built for us riders to use. I fully understand the laws and regulations around declaration of sponsored content on youtube, if a video is sponsored It will show in the top left of the video *includes paid promotion
I must admit I am a little envious of this Rodeo app, but how does this app earn money? If the Rodeo app developers read this, I can only encourage them to expand their coverage of their app, so may I suggest, if possible, Rodeo could cover the food delivery app Wolt. Wolt operates in Scandinavia, the Baltics, Central- and Eastern Europe, Malta, Kazakhstan and Japan. I think getting Wolt in the app would greatly expand the coverage of the app to many new markets.

Good suggestion
I agree, also maybe could have ´instant pickup´ as an option.
Better for stats as well. Then you can see the different days, and busy periods on average.

Got to say, waiting 7 minutes for an order in the area I work is quite quick haha not unusual to be waiting 20 mins.
This is why I like apps like Roo & Uber, if you have a double order and you're on a mission to earn as much as possible you can reject orders even when you've arrived.

I've been following now for about 2 months. I gotta ask what are these dark kitchen things. They only seem to be a London thing.
No we have them in America. For example for Mr. Beast Burger, if that is still around

It's a kitchen with a sole purpose of not being "open" to the public to come and order face to face, it's just a kitchen that prepares delivery orders.
You'd think that wardens would be encouraged to be lenient with delivery riders. They cut down on congestion and don't take up space.
don't agree with rating pickups from 1 pickup Should be at least 5 before rating,

Have you decided where in the country your going to do a delivery shift in? If you're near Manchester we should go for a ride somewhere 😁

Do the restaurants receive the feedback from Rodeo? So they know what to improve on.

On that app it should have had an option to put each experience per visit then give a total overall experence at the end of the test.

Hello there mate 👍
it wouldn´t surprise me, if that KFC started to tape drinks to the food because of feedback by other riders...
What bike does he use?
On your intro do you say hello peeps hope you all doing well or hello peeps hope your ordering well, £5 on this with me daughter
Haha hello peeps hope your all doing well 😊
