These tech tubers will do anything to stay relevant these days by regurgitating same old bs and attaching some course or mediocre stuff they're selling.
These high mighty big tech youtubers are so out of touch. The job you literally showed has 5 years of required experience. Do you think the people watching these vids have experience? The issue is getting entry level jobs which as u can see are barely available and highly competitive
If you people are struggling so much to get entry level roles, you have to admit to yourself the IT market is over saturated. She can't help you with that, it's time for you to look for other roles
Some good advices here but still, as you said we should be meeting all the requirements of the job and more. so basically we need to be overqualified to actually apply. Sorry but if I’m only a junior I would probably not exceed the requirements because this is the point of being junior, you don’t have the full experience YET. Actually a company should not only hire me for what I know today but for what I’ll bring to them tomorrow, for my potential. I feel that a company that is not welling to form their young generation is not worth to work for.
Companies always take a risk when they hire someone who is unexperienced and needs a lot of time and effort to get decent. If the fellow then gets decent and quits right after for some other job offer, it was all a huge waste of resources for the company. If employees would be more loyal and would stay at least 3-5 years at their entry job, companies would hire juniors more frequently..
The problem with getting a job where you already have all the skills the position needs or will ever need is that you're guaranteed to get a job where your skill set stagnates.
Can you make a day in the life of a software engineering video? It's going to be really helpful for people like me to see what actually one has to do. Thanks for the great video!
Hi I just recently got laid off from my software engineering job at Raytheon. I currently have one year and four months of experience so I’m wondering how much does that better my odds compared to entry level applicants. Do you have any recommendations for how to get another job if you do have experience but are still around the bottom level?

I found it useful and learned something. Just because you already know all these things doesn't mean everyone else does.

Learn how to lie.
And also do they not think ppl have applied to literally the 2nd job listing of the result because its a “no name company”? 💀
I have 3 years of experience unironically watching this video because I can't get any interviews

I don't agree with reaching out to software engineers, unless you know them personally or professionally. Hiring is not part of their job description and you shouldn't bother them.
But referrals are key to getting to “skip to the front” of the resume line
They can get a referral bonus though for minimal effort
One way is to reach out and earn the contact by contributing to open source projects.
You obviously need to realize that you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.
