- Get Techstream working 100% in any Windows operating system. Only 10 minutes no loading drivers no hacks, it just works. I've had Feedback that it could cause Blue Screen of death issues with Windows 7 and the need to upgrade to Windows 10

It works but need it for Japan region vehicles. Any other option ? it stops working when i switch to Japan region.
When i click on Global Version, it says the software is expired and needs a new key and i cant progress.

Mine cable is not detected so I order 2 new ones one with 1.4.1 like the one in the video and another 1.4.8 hoping this works 🙏
awesome, downloaded the VM image (already had virtualbox), worked immediately. I then installed a later Version of techstream over the top, still works.
I was able to program a new transponder smart start key in under 5 minutes using this image.

Good stuff man!!!! Just replaced my ABS brake booster and need to calibrate the ABS as well as bleed the brakes. Just ordered the chord and am downloading to my old windows laptop. You’re the man!
Don't forget to bleed the rear Brake Bias Valve. Often overlooked and leads to poor rear Brake Performance, not to mention a spongy Pedal
You, Sir are a legend in your own time. This is the first tutorial where everything needed was in one spot. Freakin' cursors flying all over screens, even highlighted ones. I slowed all of them down to 75% just to try and follow the cursor. I am not a computer person by any stretch of the imagination, but with this Techstream thing, I was lost...and stayed that way. I accidentally saw your video, and it worked the very first time. I was thinking over the last week, that maybe the cable was to blame. Shoot, that didn't pan out either. It was me, man! Thank you so much for taking the absolute pain out of this ordeal. I don't want to get blasted, so I'm not about to tell the total hours of pulling the few hairs I have left on my head. You ARE the man!

What file do you import for XP? Where from?
See the comment by user fuegos and the reply from Paul a few comments down about the size of the file download. I think the Windows XP OS is included in the download. Hope this helps.

When I plug in my mini-vci while in Windows XP VM it crashes my computer and forces it to restart. I have setup the mini-vci on Windows 10. Any suggestions?
For some reason, virtual box wont reconize my vci usb cable but windows 10 does. Any help with this issue?

Seems like Virtual Box has been updated since your video has been uploaded. It looks nothing like the one thats on this video. I am also running the latest version of Windows 10. So this method might not work as of me writing this.

Thank you for this! At first, it didn't work with my $60 v2.04 cable so I switched to the $7 cable ordered direct from China. If installed correctly, most problems seem to be the cable.
mate do you a link for the $7 cable from china? ive been looking everywhere for a cheaper one. thanks
@@Fella-yc1ip Shortly after that post, I ordered two more but even then they went up to $20. After waiting over two months, I had to force refunds on both as they were not shipped. Now, seems they are $40 or more for any of them. I just checked on ebay and there were some from China for $32 but I think if I order another, I'll go with a U.S. seller.

Downloaded both files, but when I try to start Techstream from Virtualbox I get an API not found error.
Why doesn't Techstream update to Win10 ? , Nobody uses a 32 bit operating system anymore.

@@pauljbusby it literally took 10 minutes to get it up and running! Prior to this, I had installed Windows 10 in VirtualBox and tried numerous registry entries, workarounds, etc. without any success. Thanks again man! This was a life saver!

Does this mess up any programs or settings on my windows 10 laptop? Contemplating if I should install this on a laptop I don’t use much. Also, where do I get the Mini VCI cable that will work with this?
Safe to use no effect on Widows 10. "Google Mini VCI cable"and you will have several places that can supply the Cable
Also, I’m using windows vista 32 bit. Will this method mess up my computer?
This VM image shown in the video uses an older version of techstream, if the vehicle you need to work with is several years old that's fine, but if you have a more recent vehicle that may be an issue depending on what you are trying to do.
This would still work if you put a newer version of tech stream on the virtual machine. 99% of the headache comes from the drivers I think.

Correct. If you have a late model vehicle you more than likely can't work on it yourself anyway. Can Bus Alternators and Tail Lights and crap like that, is not the kind of Vehicle most people would buy in order the carry out back Yard Maintenance

Trying to install virtual box on W10 and it says it cannot install due to security or performance issues, scrap that I was using the link from the video, didn't realise there were links elsewhere. Sadly it will not open the techstream downloaded from the other link?
Do you have enough Disk Space on your Hard Drive? Follow each step as per the Video and or try another PC. The Oracle Virtual box should recognize the Techstream file. Did you download both files from the same location website location as per the video.
@@pauljbusby Hi thanks for responding, I could not get it to run on virtual box. I uninstalled everything and deleted all T/S files and started again using the dvd , it opened tech stream but kept asking for the key, I added ts-loader to bin and this stopped the key issue but now i`m getting the unable to connect to vmi message.
@@colindavies8032 Using the DVD? what DVD? The two files you download are from the IHMUD website, there is NO DVD. download the Operating System and tech stream file from here forum.ih8mud.com/threads/how-to-techstream-in-5-minutes.1034923/

The file linked on IH8MUD is 1.57 GB ? any idea why ? other versions are less than 200 KB
It's a full Windows XP operating system plus the Tech Stream Program, so yeah it's big but it works
