Ahah, having a regular DND campaign is so cozy to me, I love it too :) Your job sounds very demanding indeed. I'd love to hear more about how you balance it (or try to at least) with your writing. I definitely relate to having a full-time job that takes a lot of mental energy and making it difficult to have enough left for being creative for yourself, so always keen to hear about others' experiences with this. I'm also very curious about whether your employer knows about your TH-cam channel, what they think of it, how you walk the line and decide on what you can show and tell about it. In any case, thanks for bringing us along, it's fascinating to get a glimpse of that part of the book business!
Thanks for your comment! My employer does know about my channel and I only really share areas of my job which are 'public' in a way - ie. that I would be happy to share on social media and aren't confidential or unprofessional for me to share! Lots of people in publishing nowadays have social media platorms/TikToks/TH-cam channels so it's not too strange at least ☺️ thanks for watching!
I feel what you were talking about at the end about feeling like you haven’t had time or headspace at the end of the week. I don’t think it’s just you or publishing (I am in accounting). It’s an ongoing process to focus on balance between work and everything else in life. Thank you for the video!
I'm really struggling to go on with Fourth Wing. The beginning is just so bad written! Is the story worth it? I am really into the big fantasies, but this one just feels like it's in the same category with Twilight within the fantasy genre. :D which is not a positive thing if you ask me!
It DEFINITELY gives me Twilight vibes too! I just think it's really good fun, not necessarily the best written/most intricate fantasy novel but a fun romantasy that I found pretty addictive! Thanks for watching :)
