So anything fast past paced (or with a lot of syllables) needs a good mixed voice, to maintain vocal stamina and sustainability to avoid hoarseness , I guess?
Only if you're going up into the higher registers. If one stays low where chest voice is appropriate then you don't need the mix...but the scatting would be pretty boring. (-: Thanks for your comment!!
