- The World Equestrian Center in Ocala Florida is EPIC! Step at Winter Equestrian Festival, there is a new kid in town that makes you look like the dumpster dive of horse shows!
If you could get a group of people together and create an equestrian facility wish list, then build it, the end result would be the World Equestrian Center. It literally has absolutely everything even the most demanding dressage diva would love to have on show day!
The new horse competition center features 22 rings with four indoor fully climate-controlled rings, There are also 7 restaurants and a hotel on-site complete with a pool, spa, and cabanas... I want to live here!

Geez this must of took 20 years to make. Heart of Ocala perfect place for horses! My parents live in dunnellon so it’s amazing to visit. Glad they do dog shows aswell. Just wonder why they don’t have a racing ring For the thoroughbreds

I have heard rumors that this is where they want to have the Quarter Horse Congress that has been held in Ohio since the beginning of the Congress . The Old Fairgrounds that still has the Super slide we used to slide down as kids is really getting warn out and this would be a fabulous new venue .

Because of the comfort stall mats you don't need as much shavings.

@@vamonosrecio5219 Just a bit? I went this week and it is huge. Everything is so well built and not only will it be for horses but also for other sports events. I can't wait to show at WEC. And what's wrong with luxurious? Its world-class.

Well things they don't say I'm here. I'm pretty much you're either going to use a golf cart or walk traffic gets pretty tight here during events and so your car is probably the best way to get around some things can be up to a mile apart. $80 a day to use a golf cart. There's no local airplane coming into the Ocala airport it's just private jets. Pretty far from Tampa to Orlando as far as getting up there you're looking at an hour and a half. Also what do you do when there's no horsing going on which could be several times during the day there's no real golfing around there either so outside of the two restaurants in the hotel and there's also not anything in town as far as eating. You will have to walk through some horse dung and pee that after an event that you pretty much it's pretty hard to clean up so I got to watch your shoes and what you're walking around there. It's in development so I hope in a few years they'll have some other things in town to do besides just watching horses so maybe a golf course or something. But they're thinking about putting a polo field in there and there's no cigars either so I was pretty disappointed. If you happen to bring your horse you're going to stay pretty much out in the sun with your camper if you're there as a horse rider and there's no pool access for you except for the hotel there's one if you stay at the hotel so you're going to pretty much sweat out there. Also they're going to be using the gate and checking people in which is good to create a gauntlet from the main road so they should have a separate road for the riders to get their stuff in and out or they can have backup at the main road which is an easy to install a light there as well because traffic is only going to be able to get in on one lane and the rest is going to back it up all the way to the traffic light. Probably the other disagreement was the coordination after these events the horses come across the road and with the combination of the golf cars they're not following any traffic rules they literally blow through the stop signs they need to have the guards which I saw there was security there in golf carts but they're just sitting outside talking they need to be coordinating traffic at these events because again you're going to be sitting there there's only one loop around this place and I was very difficult to get in and out after an event😮
